Solid game, I say!
Solid game :) Comes with all the extra characters making it a right blast around a TV with some friends. I do enjoy this game a little more than the previous installment, mainly due to the more attractive character roster, I only found myself playing three of the characters last time because they were the only one's that appealed to me but hey ho!Each character has 3 variations, essentially giving you 3x the amount of depth to each fighter. I thought it was great, sure you'll still have your preferences but at least you'll have that option to experiment with the same character, see what works best for you.It also has a single player story which I haven't played yet but from what I've seen it'll take you through cut scenes, telling a story with many fights in between depending on who you meet. You'll most likely have to play as all the characters as well, somewhat forcing you to have a general handle of what each character plays like.I enjoy this game a great deal but for me it has to be with good company, easy to pick up and get to grips with so you shouldn't feel that you need any previous experience, you'll just learn as you play!My only gripe with it is the lack of stage variety, some stages look similar where they could have been a little more creative but that's the nitty gritty. You've still got a selection of 14 to choose from.33 Characters(x3 Variations)14 stagesEnjoy!

Flawless Victory
Mortal kombat keeps getting better and betterThe roster for this game is varied with fan favourites as well as an abundance of new and interesting kombatants.Mortal kombat XL has all DLC characters from the off as well as most of the costumes. Content rich with single player kontent as well as a great online structure. Its fast and fluid gameplay makes for a spectical to watch and play. The presentation here is awesome. Though some models are more detailed than others but during kombat its a non issue.Fatalities are gloriously gory and creative and most are pretty simple to pull off. The stage fatalities are not the greatest but add variety to the end of a match. All in all its a komplete and komplex fighter with depth and plenty to too. Even with a good story mode.Pick it up. Pick a fight and finish him/her.You win.

Mortal kombat at its best.
Mortal kombat x on the PS4 is a stunning game to look at and, play. Each character on the roster has 3 different variations of their fighting styles, as well as a generous selection of costume skin's. There are also some well known horror and, sci-fi characters such as, the Predator, a xenomorph from aliens. As well leatherface from Texas chainsaw massacre and, also Jason from Friday the 13th.The story mode is even better than it's predecessor mk9. The cutscenes are well detailed and, if you execute the right button press sequences, you can determine what the outcome will be. Remember the those gory x ray moves? Well they look even more impressive, with more blood, guts and, broken bones than ever before. The fatalities in this game are so gory, that it make fatality moves from the last game look tame in comparison. If you like gory fighting games, then look no further. Because Mortal Kombat x has everything you need.

Good but repetitive.
Great quality game, however it does feel somewhat repetitive. The story is quite nonsensicle. Game's pushing new geberation fighter and trying to step away from flagmen like sub zero and scorpion. Fought over 1,000 matches and felt like I couldn't play it anymore. But definitely had a great tine playing it at first.Arrived quickly and in good quality as expected.

Fighting games get a bad rep - this is one massive breath of fresh air : )
There are certain fighting games which I won't mention (but I'm sure you can think of) which rip you off completely (one costs well over £200 - more than a PS4 console - to get the full game which, by the way, IS ON THE DISC!) but this certainly is not one of them. If you're buying this game get the XL version - all characters (I think 33) all finishers and no disappointing DLC 'you must empty your wallet to get what's there' - it's all there. And not only do you not have to pay through your teeth for extras (at all) the games towers are updated with new challenges weekly... and daily... AND HOURLY! You could not ask for anymore. WELL DONE MK XL this game is the most refreshing and the very least disappointing game I've bought in a long, long time.

Nostalgic
Awsome Game, brings back lots of nostalgia and alot of new stuff to the table, great to play with a bunch of friends in the same room or online. While the game isn't as technically accomplished as Street Fighter or Tekken, the fun factor of playing with all the unique characters and trying out their different fighting styles keeps things fresh and exciting. If you're looking for more of a casual fighter, this is definitely for you, a game that doesn't require tournament reflexes to pull off a satisfying victory but still challenging enough to keep your interest.

"FINISH HIM"
LOVE this game. Definitely not for the faint-hearted, given the extremely gory and bloody fatalities! But it was so awesome to be able to play horror-favourites such as Jason Voorhees and Leatherface. My dream (and I'm guessing I am not the only one!) is that, someday, NetherRealm Studios will produce a grand-slam, go-for-broke, all-star spectacle featuring a ton of Horror Movie icons - Freddy Krueger, Chucky, Michael Myers, 'Ash' from Evil Dead... and it just makes sense to me that Pinhead from Hellraiser would appear in this game too, as some sort of super-powerful, end-of-level Boss!Anyhoo, for now, MORTAL KOMBAT XL - great stuff! 5/5
