LEGO: Justice League: Gotham City Breakout [DVD] [2016]

Brilliant family fun entertainment. I love the DC movies aimed at more mature audiences (like me), but I can't enjoy them with my kids, so these Lego DC movies with the exaggerated but true to the core of the characters are great to watch with my boys. I love the way they make batman the serious, ever planning, and 3 steps ahead of everyone else, as it is pointed out to him this make it very difficult to be friends with him. However he is convinced to take a vacation, leaving Gotham city in the "capable hands" of Superman. I really like the way for all his powers they play up Superman's nativity. Now being a huge fan of the big blue "boy scout" I never mind seeing him taken down a peg or two.While Batman is away Superman and half the Justice League must deal with a city and villains they do not understand. Meanwhile Batman's vacation might not be as relaxing as his young charges might have hoped. On a personal note it was great to see Deathstroke back, especially as he was completely underused on another DC Lego movie. The DVD version does not come with any extras, but my boys and I loved every minute of the movie so 5 stars all the way.

This latest DC/Lego adventure is rather more absurd than previous efforts but it's still got most of the usual ingredients working for it - fast paced, family friendly fun that will likely keep the adults chuckling alongside the younglings.In a nutshell - Batman goes on vacation while Superman keeps watch over Gotham City. Inevitably Bats vacation becomes more of a working holiday after Deathstroke sticks his eye in. Meanwhile Supes finds that Gothams traditional Rogues Gallery may be more than even he can handle. The Bat Family, The Justice League and The Teen Titans all pop in so there's a lot of characters here and a lot going on.There's plenty of action and a whole lot of gags thrown in. If I'm being critical, which may seem unfair with this sort of amiable nonsense, then I'd say it's not quite as witty or as clever as some of the previous flicks but it's still good. There's enough chuckles throughout and the odd laugh out loud moment to keep you entertained. I can't really speak for the kids but I'd guess that they'll love it......

Another great lego film. Love it.

Great fun film for all ages, featuring the usual cast of DC Superheros causing havoc in Gotham City. Compared to some of the other Lego Superhero movies previously purchased this has a much longer running time of over an hour, which makes it great value for the price.The Blu ray is in its usual case but comes in an additional card box to hold the free Lego figure also, making it a great package for a gift.

Excellent Film - for Kids and Adults. I am a huge Batman film and watched this as had nothing else to watch and was bored. THis is a great film....very funny. Surprisingly - it features characters I was not expecting it to (Deathstroke / Bane) which was refreshing for a movie aimed at a younger audience. Very enjoyable.

Buy only if your player supports blu ray or only for minifigure, because none every region is supported for downloading digital version :)
