Used it over the past year to charge many different batteries, mower, dump trailers, old diesel batteries, small 6v, from small to large. Works great for me, zero issues with this charger.

I purchased this charger specifically for my 8V golf cart batteries that were almost completely drained. The key switch on our cart had went bad and drained the batteries unfortunately.None the less we purchased this charger because the EZ-GO charger won’t charge until the batteries get back up to a certain voltage.I was able to unhook each battery and charge each one on the 8V smart setting. It took each battery approximately 2 hours to reach full charge.The unit is easy to use once you figure it out. On my first use I set it to 8v and smart charge. It said it was charging on the display so I walked away. I came back an hour later and it was not charging. The fan was not on, the battery indicator was flashing full, but the voltage was showing .2v with 0 amps. I then held in the smart/fast charge button until it beeped and it began charging. I don’t remember that being in instructions, maybe it is.Anyway, my only complaint is the battery clamp cables are too short.Screen is bright and easy to understand.I have noticed with each battery that once it reaches full charge this unit converts to 12v and still shows it’s charging, kinda scares me a little. It is supposed to maintain the battery once charged. Not sure what is going on their.Bottom line, it saved me from having to go out and buy new batteries. There is no one local who carries or can even order an 8v charger. My only option was to wire two batteries in series and charge them with a 12v charger, and I’m not comfortable doing that. This unit was worth the money for what I needed it for, but given that it is not staying on 8v after it reached full charge makes me not comfortable enough to plug it up and leave it unmonitored.

This charger is awesome Specially if you have a six or 8 V battery you need charged most chargers just do 12 and six

Not what you are looking for if your dead battery is already below 2V. It doesn't detect.

Plugged item in had a huge spark burnt the electrical cord off the charger
