Nikon Coolpix A10 Camera - Black

This is a great camera which was supplied very quickly. I bought it to replace my 5 year old Nikon COOLPIX S3300 because it is the nearest I could get for about the same money. There were two considerations in changing: a) the batteries instead of USB charging, and b) the size/weight. Both are trade offs. a) the A10 gives more flexibility away from mains. Although the cards can hold enormous content, and the charge lasts well, there were a few occasions whereby repeated zooming, flash and simply uncertainty of charge left me worrying about power stopping (it actually happened about 3 times out of hundreds of uses). TheS3300 can charge via USB or USB with mains plug/USB supplied. So it is a trade off, but there you go. As for b) Nikon COOLPIX S3300 is 130gm with card, and the A10 is slightly heavier and necessarily slightly bulkier at 160gm but that is with 2 AA batteries. The menus and functions are identical in almost all respects with a couple of refinements for geeks for the newer one. The A10 is a worthy successor to the S3300 if you prefer batteries. (Rechargeable or not). The final reason for changing is that having laid out a serious deposit for a holiday soon, I was thinking the S3300 deserves retirement - it has NEVER Let me down. One other change is the plastic instead of metal for the newer camera. However, I am confident this will be OK, protected as it will be for the flawless recommended case I bought originally for the S3300 which fits perfectly (surprisingly). The pictures do not disappoint (16 megapixels are fine) and I am still amazed at the quality of video (and sound) you can achieve if you stand still! Both cameras have enough for mini geeks wishing to tune, adjust settings and views and yet those not wishing to set anything will not be disappointed with their fully automated operation. I may come back in 5 years after buying the next version.

A lovely little camera for my husband who is a smartphone phobic and refuses to have one ! This is very easy to use & good value, however, there is virtually no internal memory on the camera & will only take 4 pictures before being full. If I had known this, I would have purchased a memory card with my original order, instead of having to wait for a second delivery. Otherwise very pleased with the camera.

Came quickly. Excellent camera for my Dad who wanted a point and shoot. Good quality digital display on the back. All buttons easy to press and self explanatory if you've ever used a compact camera in the past. If not, the instruction manual would not be much use as it was all in French! You'll need to buy an SD card as the internal memory will only hold 2-3 photos.

A great little camera, just right for walkers not wishing to be lumbered with big heavy cameras - sits well in a hip carry case. The zoom's adequate and picture quality excellent, surprisingly big at 16mb. I'm looking forward to trying it on my monthly day-trips to the seaside and country.

Have a Nikon camera but this one is simpler to use. Better with 2 AA battery (the other Nikon uses a lion battery) I use 4 rechargeable Duracell so I can change them and they last well and you can always pop in a shop to buy more when you are out. The quality is good and the video is OK as well. Automatic feature and timer are all better to use than the other Nikon camera.

Bought for work so I do not fill up my iphone's memory. Generally does the job, but iphone camera is far superior. Probably okay for a young child but wouldn't bother for an adult.

Bought this as I'm already a Nikon user and thought a Nikon point and shoot would wipe the floor with a cheapo brand. Sad to report that the picture quality is largely poorer than the 9 year old obscure brand point and shoot it was bought to replace. Very noisy shots even at basement ISO, autofocus doesn't seem to care what it's pointed at, shots frequently contain motion blur even in good light with a high ISO. On the plus side it turns on extremely fast, remembers your settings, and has a few basic options (ISO and EV) that dSLR users like me really grieve when we don't have them. It's quite heavy for it's size, which I found odd. Overall it's OK for the money, but if you're looking for reliably sharp shots move on. Unless you're happy to use a tripod, of course, which kind of defeats the object of a small, lightweight camera!

These sorts of cameras have bombed in sales numbers since mobile phones started to offer reasonable photo quality. However, those mobiles that compete with this camera in photo capability are in the price zone of 10x - 20x more expensive - OK - I know that the mobile phone is a phone, a pager, and a teensy tiny PC a well - but there are times when it's so easy to use a camera like this. I know for a fact, having been the subject of hundreds of photos at a garden centre where I worked at Christmas - careful what I say in case children are reading - but you'll guess what I was - getting photographed with a mobile was an absolute pain - it took soooooo long. People with these cameras whipped them out and click - done! If you are going for a camera like this sort - this is just perfect. I had another that I just plain wore out - so no worries about another.

mein vater ist mit der camera sehr zufrieden das best ist man muß keinen aku laden man braucht nur zwei AA-batterien super auflösung habe eine 16Gig speichercarde drinnen kein problem die Uhr und datum einstellen und fotos machen

J'avais déjà offert ce produit en violet. Bon appareil photo, les photos sont de très bonne qualité. Facile à manipuler. Idéal pour un premier appareil photo ou en plus d'un smartphone. J'ai ajouter une carte 16GB. Je conseille vivement cet appareil.

Eine normale Digitalcamera zu finden für kleines Geld ist inzwisschen echt schwer. Entweder sind sie total schlecht oder sehr teuer oder haben Features (Unterwasserkamera z.B.) die ich nicht brauche. Nach dem ersten Fehlgriff haben wir glücklicherweise damit einen Glücksgriff gemacht. Meine Mitarbeiter können nun wunderbar die Kids fotografieren um die Portfolios zu gestalten. Nachtrag: Nach wenigen Monaten unbrauchbar da sie auch Mohr neuen Batterien aufgrund eines leeren Akkus aus geht. Und ja, wir haben auch div neue Batterien eingesetzt.

Molto buona questa Nikon A10, tutto secondo la migliore tradizione del marchio, sono molto soddisfatto.
