Why bother making your own when you can buy this, and it lasts for ages in a jar? Like all Lee Kum Kee products I've tried, it's good quality, tasty, and excellent value for money if you buy in a tray.This Satay sauce is perfect with chicken skewers (mix with a little soy sauce and fine chopped spring onions), stirred through noodles or as a general dip. Try it thickly spread on some seeded bread toast, with a bit of marmite on another slice (butter the toast so the marmite spread better on it) and stick the two together - heavenly!

I rarely write a review but this is worth a good review. If you like heat and garlic then you'll love this. Just to try it, I mixed half a teaspoon with some cooked chicken and carefully warmed it in the microwave, simple as that and loved it. Now I'm thinking simple things like mixing it with some boiled rice as a side dish. Could be added to pasta, saute potatoes, in a wrap, so many quick ideas. I will say it tastes a little salty. Maybe I noticed this because we use very little salt.Give it a try..

Used once then straight in the bin. This stuff is way too salty to the point that it ruined my dinner.

Quite sweet but works well with duck

We tried this a few months ago as my other half likes beef in black bean sauce. I was surprised how close it tasted to the takeaways version. Plus the fact that you only need to use about a quarter of a jar in your recipe, so it's great value.

I have been using these for some time they are excellent if you want to rustle up a quick midweek stirfry quite authentic flavour great addition to the store cupboard.

I love satay sauce and thought I'd try this brand. So happy I did as it's my new favourite. very tasty, I would recommend this sauce to fellow satay lovers
