I’m so pleased with my purchase. The stove looks so much better in real life, and the flames look real. I was really surprised at how quickly my living area heated up. And furthermore I was so pleased to hear that the sound is actually just like a humming sound. Not at all loud or intrusive. I can’t express how happy I am with this purchase.

This was bought as a replacement for an older one which had stopped working ( the flame motor) after at least 15 years. I bought a cheap one to start with but it just wasn't the same. This one was on sale for £165 so I had to have it. I can't comment on the heat or thermostat as I don't use it for that. Next day delivery was efficient. The fire itself is quite heavy - not a problem for mee as I don't want to move it about. The optiflame effect is lovely and about as realistic as you can get in a fire at this price level. With just the flame effect on it is silent. The only real difference between this and my older model is that this has LED lights which make it brighter. If I have one complaint it would be the remote control which, quite frankly, is a waste of time!! You need to be right in front of the fire for it to work. I had my previous one plugged into a remote control socket which worked great but you can't do that with this one as the rocker switch on the fire returns to "off" as soon as you release it. Not a game changer for me though I foresee a time when the remote no longer works and I will have to bend down to turn it on manually. Other than that I am really happy with the fire and it does exactly what I wanted it for and at a good price

The first one of these that I bought only lasted a couple of hours before the optiflame effect seized up! However, as there were several positive reviews of this fire on here, I decided to try another one, rather than just have my money back. I have to say, Amazon's return procedure is excellent. All done on line and a courier arrived the following day to collect the original fire. I am really pleased I stuck with this model. As reported by several other people, there is a hum from the motor that runs the optiflame. You notice it when you first put it on, but its not so loud that it becomes uncomfortable. You certainly don't need to turn up the tv or radio to cover it! The optiflame looks as good as any imitation flame and the heater is effective for the job I wanted it for, ie, a little extra heat rather than turning up the central heating. All in all, a good purchase and one I would recommend.

This is our 2nd Brayford electric stove, we bought the same model again as we like it so much. It neat, attractive and quite realistic, and makes the room very cosy. We don’t use the heat very often - the convector is a bit noisy but the heat even on low is very effective. My family (who actually have a real log burner) think it’s lovely , and it’s a great alternative focal point instead of the tv. The price varies so much but Amazon we’re by far the cheapest, and having already had a Brayford I had no qualms about going for the cheapest price. It belies the quality actually. All round great buy.

Lovely fire . Flame effect very good. Looks good in my new fireplace. 1st time I’ve had a flame effect fire and I’m not disappointed.

Excellent quality Burner.Very real like flames. I wanted one to fit into a corner of my living room to give it some extra feelings of warmth and Cosiness. It is the perfect fit. Looks so warm and real. No noise with the light or the fan heaters but gives out a lovely heat from the front bottom of the burner. Easy to use on/off switches but also has a remote control for the flame light. You aim it low down in the centre of the bottom of the burner. So pleased with this purchase.I am delighted with it. Comes with a one year guarantee you just need to make a quick phone call to register it and that's you covered. I'd recommend this log burner.❤

Arrived ok ,nice fire ,simple to use ,I wouldn’t say it was quiet,but when the telly is on you won’t notice the noise

Bought to replace a living flame gas fire which could no longer be used. Had seen in showroom and thought it looked okay, but once installed in our fireplace we thought it looked better than okay. Flame and logs are reasonably realistic. It was very easy to install and not too heavy. We don't often need extra heating and bought it mainly as a safe alternative to the gas fire, and for the flame effect in winter. We don't notice any noise with just the flame on. We don't use the remote control, but you could if you wished. It would heat up the room quickly when the fire is switched on. As others say, it does hum a bit, because basically it is a sort of fan heater. Don't think you would notice it too much if you had the TV on. As others say, having just the flame on somehow makes you feel warmer, without any actual heat. Seller was excellent.
