It works
If you have a 96-98 Gt it'll get close but not perfect. Needs a different gear in the tail shaft from the Cobra to be perfect. It's close enough for now without going through the extra effort. You'll be off about 10 mph. Some say not to use this in a 96-98 GT as the teeth will sheer off but it hasn't happened to me yet.

Not a good match for 8 tooth drive gears in 96-98 T45's
Worked about as well as expected. I was warned that it wouldn't last in my application (1997 Mustang GT with T45 (8 tooth speedo drive gear)), but I bought it anyway. Worked great for about the first 50 miles. After that the speedo dropped to 0mph while going down the highway. Removed the speed sensor to find this gear destroyed. Luckily the drive gear on the output shaft wasn't too badly chewed up, so I switched back to my stock gear.Technically nothing wrong with the gear, it just didn't work in my application.

Worked perfectly for my 3.73 gears in my diff. I have the T5 with a 8 gear driven tooth and the speedometer reads correctly now.
