Logitech G430 Gaming Headset, for PC Gaming, 7.1 Surround Sound Headset with Microphone, Compatible with Mac, PC, Xbox, PS4 - Black/Blue

So I bought this headset for gaming and it did not disappoint. The clarity of sound in games is fantastic and incredibly useful for working out where the sound is coming from. For example when playing Battlefield 4 I could hear every shot fired, from distant sniper fire or close burst of automatic fire I could pinpoint exactly where the shot had come from. This really helps the immersion as you feel every round that whizzes past and every explosion sounds loud and potent.The headset is good quality and constructed well the wire are covered in cloth as opposed to rubber which is nice. the end of the cable splits of into two separate 3.5mm jacks one for the speakers and one for the mic. There is also a usb adapter which you plug the jacks into. If you do not you will not get surround sound and they will function as a pair of stereo headphones. The surround sound is emulated it is achieved by using software which you can download for free off of Logitech's website. It's simple enough to do and the software is easy to use as well. My only complaint is the mic is a bit quiet I have to to really crank up my volume to hear myself in recordings even when raising my voice considerably only helps a little.The headset sound was good for me when not paying games such as listening to youtube videos and music so no problems there but more discerning people might complain it was plenty good enough for my needs.In summary an amazing headset especially for the price only £49.99 by far the cheapest 7.1 surround headset on the market. This is a similar price to most stereo headsets so a definite bargain. Would recommend to anyone looking for a more immersive experience in games or someone just looking for a quality headset on a budget. 5 stars

I saw these on sale and thought I'd pick them up and I'm so glad I did as this is the best headset I've ever owned!The audio quality is amazingly crystal clear and the mic sounds perfect compared to my old Turtle Beach headset.I got this headset for my PC and while I own a PS4 I haven't used this headset on my PS4 yet so I can't comment on that although as a PC gaming headset this is the best I've ever owned.It comes with a usb sound card which the mic and audio line plug into which is very, very smart designed as nearly all headsets I've seen and owned just have a usb at the end of the cable and if it ever breaks or you just want to plug your headset into your own soundcard on your PC...Well you can't, so I'm so glad Logitech has designed this headset where you just plug the mic and audio into the usb sound card it's just brilliant design as with all Logitech products from my experience.The mic is very solid and is not removable although you can move it up so it's not in your face when you are not using the mic, which again I really like.There's a clip with a volume up and down scroll wheel on it and a button to turn on and off the mic which is very cool.The cable is very long (unfortunately I don't have anything to measure it with rn but I guesstimate it's about 3m?) the cable is also braided which again scores a lot of points with me as so many headsets I've owned for a similar price tag *cough* TurtleBeach *cough* seem to over look the importance of having a braided cable so well done Logitech, you done good yet again!I use this headset for music, movies, shows and gaming and imo they sound amazing (they didn't at first until I updated the firmware, if you have any issue with mic or sound, update your headsets firmware through the Logitech software!)I've been using these a lot recently for extended periods of time my longest time wearing these was about 5 hours in a long Killing Floor 2 gaming session and honestly at no point did the headset become uncomfortable, I didn't even feel like I was wearing a headset.The ear cups are very big and they go over my ears nicely unlike some headsets where your ear gets squished to the side of your head...Honestly there's nothing I can fault these headphones for, I really love them they look cool, they sound great, they are so comfortable for long gaming sessions or music listening you forget you're wearing a headset.I really like how I can hear my own voice through the headset when I'm talking as I tend to shout when I can't hear myself lol, although if that's not your thing you can easily turn it off no problem.I highly recommend this headset, I'm a big fan there's a lot of thought gone into the design of this headset and it really shows for example the metal instead of plastic on the sliding part of the headset really shows the level of quality that's gone into the design of this headset.I've always bought TurtleBeach headsets and thought they were great but this headset really blows TurtleBeach out of the water, this is why I love Logitech products!TL;DRThis headset is good quality, the sound is crystal clear and the mic quality is great, highly recommend 10/10

A solid set of headphones. I recently bought these for a second time after my first pair eventually started to get problems with only sound coming from one ear and it would only be briefly fixed after fiddling and juggling with the bit of rubber connecting the wire and the actual headphones, so I can only assume that eventually it would’ve got worse.However, these headphones did serve me a good long 3 years if not more, and I have no real reason to doubt their quality and I bet if I had treated my first pair better it probably could’ve served me much longer.The sound is pretty good with no problems to complain about but I have seen some people say that for buying more expensive headphones you could get better quality and so apparently what you’re paying for for these headphones is acceptable for the reduced quality? I’ve never splurged more than around £50 for headphones so I wouldn’t know but these do the job and I have no reason to doubt their sound.In terms of comfort I would say they’re pretty decent, the ears are comfortable however at times I do feel like the bridge of plastic that goes over your head can sometimes feel as if it’s been grinded into your head and be slightly uncomfortable but I’ve never really realised it to the point where it’s been a bother so it may have just been how I’ve adjusted it to my head or how I was sat, but it’s worth noting and I don’t think it’s really something that can make or break it if your thinking about buying them.I’d say the wire is also a bit excessively long if you ever untie the straps keeping it short but then again that’s just down to preference and if you tend to stay organised and keep them tied up properly it’s not even a problem, but because I’m messy and occasionally fiddle with the wires in boredom I’d let the whole thing lie out and in turn sometimes get it knitted or stuck in my chair wheels but again that’s just down to me.I’ve bought a second pair as I said as the first served me very well over around 4 years and I am confident it’ll serve me just as long again. Would definitely recommend.
