I make many cakes and this is my go to tool for buttercreaming sides

For some reason I thought this was going to be a metal scraper, it clearly says it is plastic, so my fault entirely. I was unsure whether it would be right as my book recommends to use a metal one. However it gave my buttercream cake a nice smooth finish, so I have no complaints. My only criticism is that it is more expensive than I have seen elsewhere for a plastic scraper.

A great product a works just fine.

don't wash in water that is too hot, or it will warp, mine won't as I know not to do this.fabulous for spreading cake batter into a tin to ensure even distribution before baking as well as Finishing/Icing the top or sidewall of a cake, where a flat finish is required or even a spiral finish is required.

Really impressed with the quality and price of this. I make a lot of cakes and tried a few scrapers and skimmers and this definitely didn't disappoint. Smooth edges and precise. Arrived just 2 days after ordering too.

I have only recently discovered stencilling at a local craft group. I enjoyed it so much that I promptly ordered several bits and pieces so I could carry on playing at home. Not sure that this was the best choice of scraper for spreading paste over the stencil. It just doesn't feel as positive as the one I used at the group. But then again this is advertised for cake decoration which is another skill entirely. Could well be just a case of wrong tool for the job. Having said all that I didn't return it as it wasn't a total failure and who knows - with practice I might find it is absolutely perfect

This is to replace one I’ve had for 5 years and managed to snap it but I can’t complain for 5 years of use, just hope this one lasts the same time !
