I'm a professional picture framer living in a rented flat, these work perfectly.
I'm a professional picture framer, making bespoke conservation level frames for limited edition and original artworks. As you can imagine, I also collect a fair bit of art. However I do live in a rented flat at the moment, so I'm limited as to what fixings I can use to hang artwork, Command Picture Hanging Strips have proven themselves time and time again to be perfect for my situation. In total I have about 40 frames hung with Command Picture Hanging Strips, some have been up for about 5 or 6 years and some just a few weeks. I've never had any problems sticking anything up, they're very straightforward to use, and I've never had a single frame fall in all those years. Even some that were stuck on paint that looked a little flaky! The largest frame that I've used these on is 3ft x 4ft (90cm x 120cm) which has now been in place for about 4 years without issue. As you can probably tell from the photos too, we regularly add pieces to our collection and have to reshuffle our salon-hang style walls. The command strips peel off really easily with no residue and never taking any paint with them, then it's just a case of re-sticking what you want where you want. No drilling holes or filling in old ones with plaster than trying to match the paint accurately after it's subtly faded. In fact even when I do buy place in the near future, I'll be sticking to using these to hang artwork rather than filling my walls full of holes.

Value pack for the whole house....
A great selection of picture hanging strips. They are easy to apply, simply by applying one to the wall and one to the picture and pushing firmly together. Personally i get the two strips and squeeze them together as if they were joined in situ. I then peel one strip backing off and fix them to the picture. Once they are ready, i peel the other backings off and offer the picture up to the wall and push into place where i want it. This way you can be sure that the two strips line up.You can remove the strips easily by pulling the tab. It works most of the time but where i have had dodgy paintwork it sometimes pulls that away too, but that is no fault of the strip.I find them extremely reliable and rarely fail. A quick, easy and non obtrusive way of putting pictures up.... ideal for rented accommodation with landlords that don't like nails in the wall!!I have also gone above and beyond the recommended sizes and weight limits for the strips..... still no issuesGreat buy, and will hang plenty of pictures or other type of hanging item

Good product but beware
In my experience with both command strips, they do not work well on old walls or walls that have been painted a few times. New walls and newer surfaces with few coats of paint do better. Old walls the paint just peels right off with them. Have reverted to using picture nails.

Did the job very easily
I am really impressed how easy to use when putting up pictures/paintings or anything that needs to hand on a wall. Maybe over priced for what you get, but couldn’t find it cheaper elsewhere.

Still hanging in there two and a half years on...
I purchased two of these packs back on 27 Feb 2012, yes it's been that long and now I have decided to leave a review. A lot of people will think these are just a gimmick and probably be scared to hang anything using these strips. All I'm going to say is think again and give them a try. I did and have no regrets. Two and a half years on 12 of the 13 items I used the strips on are still hanging up on the walls and in that time have not fallen off the wall, fact. The one that did was not a picture frame but a 35cm x 60cm hanging Egyptian mat. The strips we placed on the wall were still in place but the ones we stuck onto the mat came off. The fabric sticks to strips for a while but the problem is the sticky surface on the back of the strip pulls at the fabric. The mat can defy gravity for so long before the weight of it will make it pull away from the strip and what your left with is a mat on the floor and the strips still on the wall stuck together with bobble on the back...if that makes any sense :-)The rest of the picture frames hanging up range from a 88cm x 57cm glass oak framed picture to a small 20cmx15cm. We used 6 large strips for the big picture frame and one medium sized for the smallest. All are still going strong. We were too chicken to hang up a mirror but seeing how the others have held up after this much time we might just order some more of these strips and give it a shot. Our wall is a brick wall which has been plastered and then painted over. We stuck the strips directly onto the painted wall. We haven't tried on wallpaper so cannot say how these strips work on wallpaper. All I'm going to say is make sure you measure out correctly exactly where you want your frames to hang first including where the strips are going to be on the wall and on the back of the frame. Mis-alignment will just waste time and if you keep removing the strips and sticking them back on then you might end up with a few wasted strips. When we received these I stuck every single strip on a wall space, all strips were close together. Then throughout the day I kept sticking the other half of the strips to my wife's back and bottom. Bless her she didn't have a clue. During the evening I made up some excuse and got her close to the wall where the strips were stuck on. I leaned her against the wall and pressed her back against it and walked away. She remained stuck to the wall for a couple of minutes before she pulled herself away. It was hilarious, I've never received so many death threats in the two minutes she was stuck there than in my whole life. So you see these have more uses. Who say's us oldies can't have a laugh at 65?
