Perfect for cooking many sorts of food.
Came securely packaged and just had to put the knob on the lid. Have used it a number of times, for a variety of foods (bacon, eggs, sausages, fish, vegetables etc) and am very pleased with it. The heat controller is clear and easy to manipulate and responds quite quickly. Despite being large, the pan itself is lightweight and although it appears to be flimsy is in fact quite solid but its weight makes it easy to move about, . The feet are quite widely spaced, so you do need to make sure you have it fully onto a surface otherwise it might tip over. The lid enables you to see what is cooking and we have used it both with and without the lid, depending on what is being cooked. A little olive oil is all that is needed to cook most things very successfully, and then a quick wipe out with kitchen roll while the pan is still warm keeps it clean and ready for use. The lid is easy to wash and dry and can be put in the dishwasher, if necessary, although is rather large and would take up a lot of space. It has been a godsend, as we are currently trying to cook in the conservatory as our kitchen is being refitted, and this is so flexible that most meals can be cooked in it.

Big enough to feed a family from one pot
Looking forward to using this! Seems sturdy, arrived on time and packaged well. Will enable me to do one pot meals for all the family with ease due to the size of the pan.

Made a great Thai curry in it whilst i was at my ...
Bought for daughter for Christmas present. She loves it . At first she wasn`t keen on how shallow the pan was (the interior is shallower than exterior, (we ought to have realised that as the element must be underneath doh) she wanted deep as she batch cooks. however, this pan holds a colossal amount in any case and so that was that problem solved. The only little gripe was that the controls appear to be set higher than we are used to. The higher heat settings are very hot indeed so take care if you`re new to this product. I think it just takes some getting used to. Made a great Thai curry in it whilst i was at my daughter`s....cooked well and she was pleased.

not easy!: ( I bought the family sized VonShef
I have a family four to feed. Two ravenous teenagers need a quick family meal before they get stuck into their studies. As our kitchen is being remodelled, we currently have a twin hob to cook on, not easy! :(I bought the family sized VonShef, after reading all the reviews and researching it online. I wanted it to cook up full English breakfasts at the weekends. So far, I have made paella, curries, tagines, one pot meaty sauces with pasta cooked in the same pan, as well as American pancakes, Spanish tortilla and griddle scones. Breakfast for four is a doddle, everything fits in the pan, sausages, bacon, black pudding, tomatoes and eggs. I love it, even my husband likes cooking in it. We even wondered whether it would work well when camping on a site with power hook-up.I have made everyone use nonstick utensils as I want it to last. The power cable needs pushing home hard on initial use and the temperature dial is better on a two to three plus when browning things. Be warned though, if the setting is high and you don't stir, you will get a burnt layer. If you want a one pot pan with well fitting clear lid, to cook for a family, have no qualms about buying this. The box it arrives in is huge, storage needs careful thought as it is a big gadget to store with a glass lid. I ended up having a shallower height gap shelf in a larder cupboard, just for the pan.One thing to remember, the pan exterior gets very hot as it has a heating element in the base. It is also electric, so don't submerge the base in water. I wash the inside and rinse it out, then dry but all sat on a worktop, so as not to wet the socket on the side.Best thing about it, one pan, less washing up!

Great multi cooker
Great multi cooker. Good size for a family size meal. When I first used it it would not heat up to a hot enough temperature to brown sausages. When I finally read the booklet that came with it I realised you are supposed to leave lid on, which helped. It was very easy to clean after, soapy sponge then wipe dry. Have not used it to heat up pizza yet but will give it a try. Great price. Would recommend. Update: After first use when it appeared not to heat up properly it got worse so that the next time I tried to use it, it would only heat a little before cooling down. Contacted seller who told me to return it and they would send out replacement. I received replacement within about a week and a half after returning my faulty one. The replacement works great, heats up quickly and cooks evenly.

Good product!
Very large, easy to use, to clean. Cooks fast, tasty food. Just be careful with the temperature you set, it starting to boil at 1, so don't overheat, otherwise you'll burn your food. I have cooked pizza, the top will not be crusty, it's not the oven, but it's ok, the bottom was cooked as supposed to. I have cooked meat with vegetables, what to say - amazing! Fast, easy, delicious! Highly recommend this product! Thanks!

It has one setting…volcanic hot!
This thing is a good as useless…don’t waste your money on it. With it having a thermostat graded between 1-5, you’d expect to be able to adjust the heat setting. Absolutely not…it is either on or off. Nothing in between!Even plugged into a power station unit which monitors how much power it uses…at all settings it’s 1330w.If you want to control the temp…buy something else.

Ok, but not as good as the last one
This is the second one of these I've bought. This one is larger and shallower than the last (which lasted three years before I destroyed it by accident, no fault of the appliance, I accidentally submerged the whole thing in water.).This one works ok but it does have some irritations.1/ The thermostat seems to have two settings; low simmer or nuclear fusion; there doesn't seem to be much middle-ground.2/ The leg of the thing snapped when I was dragging it (empty) along the bench and it caught the edge of the sink. My fault? Possibly, but it wasn't a hard knock; the legs seem to be quite brittle. To be fair though, if you're new to this type of thing, once you start using it you'll wonder how you ever managed without it. This is quite capable of doing what it says on the box and can quite comfortably cook a meal for four.
