Helps to ease pain and can be used for multiple purposes
Recommend having these before you start on any breastfeeding journey. The coldness eases the discomfort to an extent and the shape is handy.Would be better if they were bigger but appreciate the quality for the price. Also, there they are designed to go round the nipple but the sharpness of the plastic can be uncomfortable when breaking into your breastfeeding journey so recommend using a pad with them.I’ve still got mine in the freezer even though I am no longer breastfeeding. They are handy for when someone has a bump to act as a cold compress. And great that you don’t need to be mindful of water when behind g to defrost. The versatility goes further and you can pop them into a cool bag to keep your drinks and food cool.

Great product
This hot and cold compression is amazing, I have only used it cold for mastitis but it works perfectly, freeze it for a couple of hours, pop in its sleeve and in the bra to provide pain relief, I’m hoping it’ll also help reduce the inflammation over the next few days. Yes it only works for 20 mins but the instructions recommend no longer than 20 mins and that is generally the health advice for cold compression. Got on same day delivery as well which was very much needed!

Must have
I purchased a set of these after having blocked ducts when my milk came in after having my third baby. How I wish I had discovered them sooner because they are a must have. Breastfeeding or not they will relieve discomfort of those early days of your milk coming in. I have since used these for blocked ducts during my breastfeeding journey, for pumping which helps get more milk quicker and also as a cold pack for my kids when they’ve hurt themselves. I have since gone on to purchase another set which I have just used with my fourth baby so I can keep some in the freezer and some for heating up.Well worth the money for the relief they provide, they only take 15 seconds to heat up and stay warm for a while. The cover is soft and comfortable against skin.I recommend these to everyone

Best for Pumping Mums and Colostrum Harvesting
I originally bought these 2 years ago when exclusively pumping breastmilk for my daughter to help relieve the occasional blocked ducts.Cold TherapyI have used them for cold-therapy only a couple of times but found they worked well. The instructions say to put the packs in the freezer for 4 hours prior to use. After this time the pads are stiffer but still easy easy to place around the breast. With the covers on the pads give off a pleasant coolness rather than being uncomfortably cold. The cold temperature is very soothing on blocked ducts and every time I used these, along with massage, the problem area was quickly healed. One thing I would say is that the packs do not stay cold for very long. I would use them during a 20min pump then put them straight back in the freezer.Heat TherapyI used these pads more regularly for heat-therapy. Depending on the wattage of your microwave the packs need heating for 11-16 seconds, one at a time. I found this a little awkward as my microwave can only be set in 10 second increments, so I would put both packs in together for 20 seconds and found this heated them to the perfect temperature. The packs are just pleasantly warm rather than hot, much like the warmth of a baby on your breast. I found that when I used these during pumping, I didn't make any more milk than usual but it was expressed from my breast in less time. The packs themselves are clear and you can see the gel pearls inside. The biggest issue that I found is that the pearls can move around freely from segment to segment, so they tended to gather at the bottom and left few at the top (see photo). The heating/cooling instructions are printed onto the pads so you don't have to find the instructions if you forget the timings. The covers for the packs seal with velcro and are easy to remove and clean. I leave them inside the covers to microwave/freeze and haven't had any issues. The covers can be clipped into a circular shape around the flange of a breast pump to stop them falling off during use but they don't stay close to the breast unless you hold them there. I found the most effective way of using them was to just tuck them inside my pumping bra.Overall, I was happy with these packs and they have survived many uses in the microwave. I have recently had my second child and found that these pads were useful in encouraging letdown during prenatal colostrum harvesting. I haven't had any use for these pads since my second baby was born. I have mainly breast fed this time around and the natural warmth of baby combined with breast compressions during feeds means I haven't needed help with expressing milk quickly or blocked ducts. So I would say these pads are best for pumping Mums rather than breastfeeding ones.

Good for blocked milk ducts
Life saver for blocked milk ducts days/nights. Cold therapy is definitely better than a hot shower to help ease block milk duct so these were ideal and easy to use.

Helped me breastfeed when I though I was going to switch to formula
These soothing breast gels were a complete games changer, I thought I was going to have to switch to formula, but ordered these as a last ditch attempt. They can be microwaved for about 15 seconds and can help soothe with heat, which worked well on my clogged ducts. But also can be frozen and provide awesome cooking, especially for those few few weeks when everything is sore. They come with a little pouch to avoid putting anything too hot or too cold right on sensitive skin. The little pouch has a popper which I would put around my bra strap to help them stay in place. Because they aren’t complete circles they mould really nicely to the contours of your breast.A really good buy if you are a new mum or planning on breastfeeding!

Not bad
Good practical purchase bought ahead of time in case of pain but thankfully have not needed to use. Instructions clear on use but can be fiddly placing into covers.
