Signal Pod Wireless Bicycle Signalling System

Great for Mobility Scooters too !!
I have just bought a new mobility scooter called Travelscoot (Google "Travelscoot" to see how great it is). Having owned the previous Travelscoot I knew how wonderful the vehicle was, however, it never had reverse gear, which was not on the whole a problem.Where it was a problem was when we went on a cruise and entered a lift (elevator) to change decks. On most occassions I entered the lift and other passengers would crowd around me. When we got to our deck I had to push backwards with my feet and my wife informed the other passengers to beware as I was backing out.The new Travelscoot has reverse gear, whilst still retaining all the other benefits it had before - i.e. super lightweight (30lb) - ability to take a rider up to 25 stone (350lb) + luggage - cool looking (teenagers love it) - all that and it instantly collapses to the size of a babies buggy! It was designed by a disabled aircraft builder to go in the overhead locker of a plane, so that gives you an idea of how wonderful this is to travel the world with.Ok - so now I have a mechanicle means of backing out of a lift - however, when in reverse gear the Travelscoot does not emit a bleap etc. What then to do? That's where the IGGI Signal Pod Wireless Signalling System comes in. The Travelcoot looks like a mini bicycle when unfolded and has a similar, but larger, seat with down rod, so it should be ok.Fitting the system to my scooter was a breeze and it worked like a dream. No trailing wires, super styling and now when I back up I click the hazard warning feature and both indicators flash and emit a loud click, click, click. The unit has an on/off button, so no waste of batteries when not in use. Also, when the rear unit is on there is a central intermittent small flashing red light, so at night you always show a rear light. The handlebar control flashes on the button that has been pressed, so the rider is aware the unit is flashing - this is a good extra feature in case the clicks can't be heard from the rear unit. One other important feature, especially for cycle users, is that the rear unit easily slides on/off the fitment cradle for security.Looking now for a computer unit to tell me how far I have travelled, which is important to me regarding the Travelscoots lithium battery (lasts for 12-miles between charges)

Wireless bike indicator set with handlebar control.
So simple to fit, quickly connects & works as it should do. You can also by a 2nd light pod & also connect using the same controller, so you can have indicators, front & back of your bike. That's why I've ordered a 2nd set.

Good Product
I bought this product recently, Its easy to fit and I like the fact it give's the motorist more advance notice of your intentions when you are on the road. I also like the fact when the pod is on the there is flashing red strobe which helps draw the motorists attention and also gives further visibility in the dark. The product is robust and easily detachable if your leaving your bike unattended. Obviously you still need to use hand signals on certain occasions to give the motorists approaching from the front notice of your turning and signal intentions.Only negative I have found with product is on occasion when activating the right turn signal and then turned it off, it hasn't tuned off and continued, I have had to turn the pod off and then back on again to reset it.On the whole I am very pleased with the product.

Great safety feature
Great product works brilliant and the beeps keep you aware it is on the control box is quite big but when installed will not move about easy to follow instructions batteries easy to change bright during day light hours and of course excellent in the evenings. When not indicating the unit has a small flashing red LED light in between the chevrons which is a good safety feature. Marked 4 stars owing to size of the unit but it works and does the job.

Good, but has dangerous flaws.
This is an ideal solution for traveling safely on bicycles. I, personally, don't like putting my hand out to indicate; it makes the bike unstable. By pressing the simple buttons located on the handlebar you have a safe indicating method.PROS:1. Wireless connections remove the need to run a wire around the bike.2. Audible 'beep' when the indicator is on.3. Very bright yellow LED'S.4. Sturdy build and good brackets included.5. Waterproof controller and Indicator unit.CONS:1. The wireless system is unreliable; sometimes it will respond perfectly, while every so often the signal isn't sent/received.2. It's only a rear indicator. If you want to turn into traffic (i.e at a crossroad turning right) you must put an arm out, as only vehicles behind can see the indicator. So why are these issues so critical? As you can imagine, if you're attempting to get the indicator to work, while biking, and it doesn't respond, you lose focus on the control of the bike and the traffic/spacial awareness suffers. As it's only a rear indicator, it's pretty much useless at some turnings. This is a shame, as if a front and rear indicator existed (without the wireless issues) it would be perfect. In conclusion, this is a excellent design, with powerful ideas; but the critical, intermittent signal issues are something to take into consideration.

Nice kit !
Received the signal kit today, and have fitted and tested it. Works fine , very happy with it.One point worth mentioning that is not in the fitting instructions - the battery cover on the signal unit has a tiny lug on one side that needs to be located into a tiny slot, otherwise the cover will protrude slightly and be rather insecure, this is very important, as the whole unit could drop off eventually. Also need to mention that the handlebar switch unit has a battery tag that needs to be removed in order for the unit to operate.Apart from those issues it appears to be a nice bit of kit.
