You get what you pay for
This is an edited review. I have had this laptop a while now and my opinion of it has changed drastically since initial purchase.I was happy enough with this budget laptop when I first bought it, but not even a year after and I wish I had bought something else. The keyboard is quite awful, with the space bar not working unless you press it dead in the middle - just writing this review I have had to backtrack a lot as words were joined together as the space bar doesn't register correctly. There has been an ongoing problem where scrolling quickly down through documents and web page causes the screen to flicker black. I had contacted the manufacturer via their website chat, and to be fair they tried to help, but unfortunately their advice was 'download an update' - which it turns out was already installed. It struggles to run Spotify which takes several minutes to start working. As I mentioned in original review, the speakers aren't great, but that's to be expected at this price and if you connect to an external or Bluetooth speaker it is fine.Once I can afford it,I will be getting a new laptop. I have learned a valuable lesson and will not make the mistake again - it's better to pay a bit extra for a laptop than to buy a cheap one that is near impossible to live with. I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1, as I do think their customer service was quite good, despite not being able to fix my issues.

Worst laptop I've ever used
Worst laptop I've ever used. It consistently drops connection with my wireless (all other gadgets including my old laptop are still able to connect so it is definitely a problem with the laptop not my WiFi). Every time I want to print something I have to remove the printer and re-add it again. And the keyboard is poor quality with some keys being less sensitive than others meaning I have to type very slowly and deliberately or else my documents are full of typos. I just wanted a simple laptop to use for browsing the internet and writing documents - very basic requirements - which would be quicker than my 6 year old Samsung which has been very slow of late. I keep going back to the Samsung when the irritation becomes too much to bear. I just wish I'd used the Fusion5 more in the first few weeks so I realised how bad it was and could have returned it, unfortunately too late to send it back now.

It took me booting back and forth between safe and normal boot in order to update drivers to stop a flickering screen hence the poor review. This is a low spec PC intended ...
Ultimately the hardware is totally adequate for the price however this has clearly been badly set up. It took me booting back and forth between safe and normal boot in order to update drivers to stop a flickering screen hence the poor review. This is a low spec PC intended clearly not targeting experienced users (I bought the PC for my parents who would never have been able to get this working) so the lack of care with which this was set-up is pretty alarming. I'm also not a fan of being harassed for reviews, I've ignored/deleted about 4 requests and yet they keep coming........If you want a low cost PC without much bloatware, don't mind a fairly cheap looking shell and have the expertise to modify drivers/dive around in system settings then this is fine for the price, otherwise i'd probably look elsewhere.

The mouse is extremely annoying, flying in all directions
does not work with chrome well. The keys are insensitive- meaning you really have to punch the spacebar at time to get it to work. The mouse is extremely annoying, flying in all directions. The office 360 requires a licence so unless you already have one this is not a perk at all. Sometimes freezes, especially coming out of sleep mode. You have to be very close to your wifi source otherwise it cuts out periodically. Dislikes video call/ facetime. Won't accept external hard drives, won't accept external dvd playersUPDATE 13/01/18I have since sent the laptop back for repairs- they only replaced the keyboard and antenna. Key board better, antenna worse and now they refuse to refund!!!!

Extremely slow
I bought this to learn to code on as my personal computer is just a Chromebook. I knew it would be slow as it was so cheap, but figured I wouldn't be doing anything memory-heavy.But I have to be honest, this is painfully slow. It does work, and I can code. I have been able to download android studio, python, and a code text editor. But I can't do anything besides use the window I need at the time. I would recommend spending the extra money if you have it.Also, the speakers are really bad. The few times I have listened to a video on this it has been very quiet and a tinny sound. Awful compared to my phone or chromebook.

worth the money
This laptop is excellent for price. Quick startup then the usual windows update that takes for ever (can't blame laptop maker for this). I noticed a little crackling noise before and after the laptop is about to produce a sound - almost as if the speakers are being turned on/off. Apparently a new feature from Intel for power saving. Apart from that no issues. Has good build and crisp screen. Pleased with purchase.

Great laptop, good customer service
Great laptop, delivered on time. My daughter loves it. She had an issue with the external power supply which gave up after 2 weeks, however the company were great when I contacted them and sent a replacement to her straight away, to the address my daughter was staying at!! Just about to order one for myself :-)

Excellent laptop
This is an excellent piece of gear. The 14.1" screen size is great and has a crystal clear display. It is well made and perfect for my requirements. I've only downloaded MS Word and AVG and done some light browsing - everything perfect so far, and for the price you really can't go wrong. Definitely recommended!
