Takes out some of the base as well. **Q: Do they have a case?** A: Yes they do have a case. Small case that can go on your keys. Great product **Q: Do they also protect your ears from engine noise, when driving a race car? Or just wind noise on a motorbike?** A: Hi! Good question. It will also filter out excessive engine noise. The filters are geared towards the harmful frequencies and a proper race car can definitely hit those tones. The little carry case that comes fits pretty nicely on my keys so I have somewhere to put them when finished riding .. hmmm as for noise reduction I’d say i definitely notice a reduction in my exhaust etc and some from wind noise however not a complete wind noise killer . The little tool to help put them in your ears properly is a great addition.
