I use these sheets on my ironing board when I'm using fusible interfacing and bondaweb - when using a hot iron the glue will temporarily stick to the Teflon sheet but is easily removed without leaving any residue which could inadvertently stick to the next thing that you iron. I put one sheet on the top to protect my iron and a second sheet underneath to protect the ironing board. It would be even better if the sheets were transparent/sheer so you could see what you're doing, but even so, I thoroughly recommend them for this purpose.
