Perfect replacement for the casing on my 206 old key where one of the bottons had fallen out and stopped working. BE AWARE YOU NEED TO TRANSFER THE TRANSPONDER CHIP FROM YOUR OLD KEY. It may be black and not on the circuit board in the key and look like part of the casing. Without it your car will be immobilised and impossible to start. Thankfully the AA came to my rescue and knew the cause while I still had the old case laying around so we could rescue the chip!

When I received it I was very impressed. The only downside is that the base did not fit my original key. So I ended up just fitting the new button press side of the replacement key to the base of my old key fob . Works brilliantly but I guess while it fits most keys, my peugeot 307 was at the beginning of the 2005 range and therefore the base did not fit the actual key.But still very happy with the outcome.

Just the job

It looks very fake and the original key doesn't fit into the hole of the key coming with the cover as it is way smaller.Though I ended up using the back part of the original as that part is okay... Then used the front part (the one with the bottons to open close) as that was what I needed to change. So it looks like new now and everything works perfectly.So I give 3 stars because its okay in the end but had to use just one part of the cover as the other one wasn't fitting + looking too fake

Great replacement for my old and tatty key fob which was held together with sellotape. You get a new case and key blade, although I used my old key blade as it works fine (easy to remove from existing key fob). You'll need to remove the circuit board and battery from your existing key fob and put in the new one. Again this is very straightforward. Top tip: make sure you also remove the immobiliser transponder chip and put it in the new key fob before you throw the old one away! It's a small block that looks a bit like pencil lead and is housed in the corner of the key fob near the base of the key blade. Google it. If you don't put this in your new key fob your car will turn over but not start / fire (as the immobiliser will stop it from firing up). I made this mistake but thankfully had not thrown out the old key!

Absolute waste of money. One packet had key fob closed and couldn’t get open. Second package had key fob open but unable to screw back together with tiny screw and blade. No instructions at all. Even a diagram would be helpful. That’s why only 1 star at least it arrived on time.

Absolutely perfect for what I needed. Thankfully there’s plenty of YouTube videos on what needs to be done as I nearly threw away the critical immobiliser chip hidden in the old unit. Would be handy if the product included a little more by way of instructions or pointers to relevant online help, but a little initiative was all that was needed.Key seems to be robust and well made and all the old parts fitted in without problems.
