Versatile, used it first time, trying out new things, worked really well. Gives a raised surface. You can spread it thinly if you don’t want it raised. The nozzle allows you more control over the design. I just freestyled the above design in the photos but I I also made personalised key rings and drew the insignias in pencil first.

It worked well for putting gold/silver/copper leaf on a mixed media art project

I'm not massively advanced in gilding but I bought this paste as I thought it will work like a pen and will allow to make more intricate patterns. Unfortunately, the glue is way too thick and viscous (like PVA glue) which makes it impossible to apply a thinner coat, let alone finer lines. Covering a large area is also tricky because of the pointy tip. I've learned to work with it and succesfully covered several objects but it was a painstaking work. IMO, the pen tip should be combined with a thinner/liquid substance. Gold leaf is a very delicate material and doesn't need a thick layer of glue.

Very clever stuff which means you can make your own stunning foiled outlines on any number of surfaces. However, you do need to be careful that all the paste is covered as any bare sections could stick to other things like the envelope if you've used it on a card. Also,it can be moved out of place if it's knocked so isn't particularly durable.

Excellent adhesion even in hot weather I was able to do a 2 foot run a time then apply my mock gold leaf sheet to it. Gave impressive results.

I bought this so I could gold-leaf detailed reliefs and to be honest it's not very good. It dries relatively flat despite the viscosity of the sizer, in comparison to a regular sizer its much thicker consistency yet dries to about the same. It has a weird lingering smell, it's kind of chemically like a toned-down UHU smell despite no health and safety warnings on the label. it says an hour to 2 working time which is accurate but unlike other sizers where you have at least a 24 hour working window this is perhaps only 3 maybe 4 hours max before the stickiness is sub par, a minor bonus point is that it washes off easily with warm water after a little soak. The tip of the nozzle is approx 0.8mm so its fairly small, I would recommend washing it out with water after each use so it doesnt clog up. Would I buy this knowing what I know now? nope, the overall effect this makes is more diy than professional, it almost looks unintentional/messy because of how streaky it comes out.

I used this over a stamped image and feathered the lines using a wet paint brush to get a soft lacy edge effect. Dries quickly enough to not be annoying, yet slowly enough to be able to work with it first. It also washed out of the paint brush easily, so I didn't end up with a manky, ruined paint brush, bonus!
