Cialdissima 120 ESE Pods - Three Different Blends - Mixed Pack

Each pod is individually sealed in foil for freshness. The different roasts are colour coded and easy to identify which is which. However a large number of the pods were split upon opening the foil packs. Contacted Amazons excellent customer service and we were offered a refund. Not sure if we just got a bad batch, so I'd take a chance and buy them again.

I got these just to try some ESE pods in my Swan Retro Espresso machine, mainly to see how they compare to loose ground coffee. Sometimes it's more convenient to not have to clean up so much between cups.For sure, these don't beat my usual Happy Belly Forte (unusually good for its price) I buy from Amazon, but, they are more convenient if you have a few visitors wanting coffee. I suspect if you grind your own beans, you won't even be looking at these.As mentioned elsewhere, they do seem to have to occasional burst bag, which I suppose you could use, if you're using the standard pressurised filter holder, or just bin and get another.I found the red/Santos bag was a bit too weak for me, and had almost no crema at all, although it was fine for the wife, who prefers a weaker cup. A bit better if you add some frothy milk.The other two in the silver/Parini and gold/Columbian bags seemed very similar to me, although I think the silver/Parini bag might be slightly nicer. They both had very good crema, and the taste was bearable (compared to loose espresso grounds), especially when compared to some of the cheapest 'own brands'. If I was to order these again, it would probably be just the silver/Parini one I'd get.Perhaps some experimentation with milk frothing, whitener, sweetening, might get these a little better, although you can't do much about tamping or flow rate.Overall, they're OK, and good value for money, at least as good as a plastic pod machine, and a lot cheaper. But if you're looking for something instead of loose filter coffee, these certainly won't match the taste there - unless you do have trouble with the tamping and cleaning out process, stick with loose ground coffee.

Great tasting coffee, recently bought new machine and was struggling to get a decent strength coffee until I got these we love all 3 coffees

3 types of coffee which suits us. My wife prefers a lighter flavour, whereas I prefer the stronger end of the scale. This pack covers the extremes. The coffee has great flavour and is great value. The ESE pods/bags work perfectly in our De’Longhi Dedica machine.

Really good buy, flavoursome, good quality coffee ESE pods, compatible with dualit 3 in 1 machine. Excellent value for money..

Use this with gaggia machine in the morning (espresso, red label) and cappuciono in the afternoon. Easy to refine the range by combining labels. No need for grinding which is an electricity consuming process. The packaging although minimal may not be easy to recycle. Nevertheless it is better than grabbing a plastic cup at starbuck’s which is almost necessary in this covid situation.

I use these with my small De'Longhi Scultura machine. A quick easy no mess coffee in the static caravan. Nice flavour either as expresso or as the base for a flat white.
