Great Coffee
As a coffee lover, the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Café Au Lait Coffee Pods have been a revelation. The convenience of having 48 capsules at such an affordable price is unbeatable. I was sceptical about finding a quality café au lait at this price point, but these pods have exceeded all my expectations. Instant coffee and milk powder - but I like it!
Unlike most Dolce Gusto pods, these do not contain ground coffee from which the flavour is extracted by high pressure boiling water / steam. This is a mix of instant coffee (or 'soluble coffee solids') and milk powder. So there is an argument that this is an expensive way of making an instant coffee. However, it tastes really good, and reminds me of the coffee you often get from a machine at the breakfast buffet while on holiday! So it has positive associations and I like it! but if you want a real espresso-based drink, choose the other options.

Creamy frothy milky coffee - all in a single pod!
This has become my daily driver, so to speak. I got a machine for Christmas and I've been trying as many flavours as I could get my hands on over the last couple of months. The espressos are wonderfully rich and delicious, the lattes light and creamy, even the hot chocolate is pretty decent (although not all of the powder dissolves sometimes).After all those I tried the Cafe au Lait - now let's be clear, it isn't espresso coffee, it's instant mixed with powdered milk - but it is delicious! The coffee you get is mild and smooth, the machine adds that signature froth which makes the whole experience something unachievable with normal instant.The added benefit of being in a single pod means it's very affordable per cup (and faster to make) and I barely even need to buy milk these days.
