These carder paddles are just what I've needed for my wool projects. They are strong and work really well with ease. I recommend them to all needle felt artists as a must-have in your studio.

Good value. Get some kitty cat brushes, keep them here and there.you can card wool, but a grown-up might want to use bigger brushes. I have carded with them. If you are combing wool off an angora rabbit, they work fine.

These hand carders work well, and are made well, but are extremely small. I had an old pair from years ago that finally disintegrated, and was looking to replace those. It would be much easier to card wool if they were at least twice as large.

These are very nice combs. They should work very nicely with my projects.

Heckles are needed with hair fibers

I use these wool carders so much. As a needle felter I often blend my own colors and this set is the perfect size. The quality of the carders is great and they were inexpensive.

As a bare minimum for getting into hand carding these are great for learning the basics and learning what you do/don’t like in a hand carder. Recommend if you are unsure about the hobby and want to spend the bare minimum to try. If you’re more certain get a larger one specifically designed for carding. These feel like they tried to be a hybrid animal brush
