What is the cross-sectional area of the wire on this item?

I don't know the act cross sectional area of the wire. However it is suitable to carry 12volts, the wire I'd say is about 3mm thick.

Are the attached wires removable ie replaceable?

Hi. I thought that there were two separate wires from the photograph but when it arrived it was a single wire loop that had to be cut so that the fuse connector could be wired. The wire loop is quite short (approximately 200mm). Sorry, not sure if they can be removed. Didn't need to do that.

what is the amp rating?

The MAXIMUM Safe rating is 40 amps, plenty for the most demanding tyre pump, you can push your luck with a 45 amp blade fuse but unless the use of equipment is short, you will find the wire will heat up and most likely the fuse holder also, so realistically the whole point of a fuse is to prevent this, so if a 35 amp fuse will cope that would be considered the safer rating, that's why 45 amp blade fuses are uncommon, anything over that uses an entirelly different fuse holder assemply, with larger feed wires and much bigger blade fuses that go up to 100 amps.

I'm after one of these. Two questions... will it take 10-15 amp fuse and (for the seller) will I receive a fuse holder, not just a fuse?

10 to 15 amps fuse no problems it is the fuse holder you are buying you don't get the fuse
