HDMI Adapter Converter for Original Xbox Console

Too many retro consoles so I use this with an HDMI splitter going so it only uses one hdmi port on the TV. this works great and the output is 1080i. Good enough!

I really wasn't expecting much from this converter since it's tons of them like this on this site with very MIXED/DISAPPOINTING results.But since I had this for a couple days now,I can say I'm very happy with my purchase.Its a major step up in image(does not upsample,just simulates a component pass though via HDMI signal) quality compare to the standard composite cable that comes with the console.I also like the fact that it doesn't need any external power for it to operate.If you are looking to improve the picture quality of you original Xbox for you brand new 4k TV,then this may be the right solution.Hopefully it lasts though.

Ya en los juegos son pocos los que se mejoran, no por adaptador, es porque la mayoría de juegos no pasan de los 480p, el adaptador realmente está muy bien para conectarse a equipos modernos

**EDIT: I think I got this working again. Initially I had this working but note it does not display 480i video so you will not see anything but a black screen. The boot screen on a soft modded xbox is 480i so that will not display. Any other content like emulators need to be switched to 480p, once you've done that it will work fine. To make that switch you may need a component or composite cable to make the appropriate changes before switching back to the HDMI cable. However, this cable ultimately is inconsistent, it sometimes randomly will not want to work.Original review: I'm impressed with the level of quality for this cable. I was initially drawn to the Hyperkin cable, but moved on after hearing about moving lines or waves on the screen. I also considered the Pound HDMI cable but found that it requires an external power source to work best. The Jadebones HDMI adapter draws enough power from the Xbox itself to perform the same filter that the Pound adapter does. The last benefit is that should the HDMI cable fail it can be replaced no such luck with the Hyperkin cable.For reference I am using a soft modded Xbox v1.6, 480p, 720p work just fine. I presume 1080i works as well but I don't enable it.

The cheap components I was using would have some faint diagonal green lines on part of the image that admittedly was only really obvious on a black screen, and also the colors looked a bit washed out in comparison. I haven't used any other HDMI converters for this console, and I haven't played any games that really would make latency apparent, so I can't really speak to that. The only game I've played was Lord of the Rings the Two Towers, and from the bit I played it I didn't readily notice any lag compared to the component cables, although I know there is a bit of lag in the signal chain because the Xbox is connected to an HDMI switch which does introduce a slight amount of lag that I do notice when playing Guitar Hero on PS2. But without having compared this to a more established and expensive competitor product, I can say that this product does appear to offer great signal quality and little if any lag.

Da buen desempeño para las tv con HDMI, pero si lo usarás para streaming parece no ser compatible.

The blacks are a pinch too black to where you struggle to see extreme darkness but it’s a solid device otherwise
