One-Punch Man, Vol. 25

Action and more
Lots of action this volume. Underground, Puri-Puri Prisoner discovers Garo, to his regret; and One-Punch Man and Flashy Flash meet, in a somewhat less than amicable encounter. Superalloy Blackluster is still looking for an opponent formidable enough to exert his full strength against. Most of the action takes place on the surface, where cat monster / Monster Association "exec" Nyann, fleeing One-Punch Man, finds prey more to his liking in the support team of Class A heroes and rescued (temporarily!) hostage Waganma. Drive Knight reappears, with -- even before the battle against the Monster Association is half over -- an ominous warning about a new threat coming up on the horizon. And Genos is finally finished washing the dishes, and if you think that's not a major development, think again. Some of the violence this time out is a little more intense than usual; I mean, I know, monsters regularly get splattered all over the page in this book (like page 17, here!) -- and then there's Zombieman, but he bounces back from it -- but a couple of heroes suffer more severe-looking injuries than the norm, and even one of the monster deaths is a bit more graphic than most. Some of the most fun things about this series and the current storyline, for me at least, are the large cast of characters and the wide scope of the action. But those elements can make for a bit of a frustrating / exasperating read as well: if you'd like to be brought up to the minute on --- Tornado vs. Gyoro-Gyoro; Atomic Samurai vs. Black Spermatozoan; Zombieman vs. Homeless Emperor; Amai Mask vs. President Ugly; Pig God vs. Gums; Silverfang, Bomb & Blizzard vs. monster sadist girl Super S and Pochi; and King and Tareo, wandering separately in the monster labyrinth -- nothing this volume; maybe, if we're lucky, in the next, a few months from now ...

One Punch!
Is anyone actually reading this review without having read at least several volumes already? By this point you know if you like the series or not. I got this one on release day, product undamaged with no issues. Still one of the most unique and interesting series I’ve ever experienced, and absolutely would recommend. But this volume is not a starting point in the series - either volume 1, or if you want to pick up after the anime I think volume 17 are better for that.

Very happy to see new material coming out and really enjoyed the read. Hopefully enough will release for a third season.

Genos appears!
Saitama is still roaming around under city Z inside the Monster Association headquarters, while the Hero Association continues to fight the abundant of monsters yet to be defeated. Genos finally reappears!

Way too short!! Arrrrrgh. . . .
Each volume is a treasure to read and view. This one, along with all the others, are simply too short for the amount of time that must pass for the next volume to become available. For sure, I’ll be ready to fork over my money for the next volume, as well.

Where is Saitama?
Returning, getting money back. I’m done with one-punch-man.Lame, why call it one-punch-man if Saitama is never around? He’s been hardly around for many of the latest books.Think there’s no room for more original storylines with Saitama? Think again, kind of lazy thinking.Anyway, if you want to avoid a book without Saitama, a book devoted to some silly kitty cat with repetitive boring fight scenes, then stay away from this book. Saitama should just punch himself and get it over with cleanly.
