Be Aware
The model 13 is not 13 feet. It only extends to 11 feet. This is a misprint by Amazon. The back of the pamphlet that comes with the ladder lists the little giant model #s available with some quick states. Also, Model 17 extends to 15 feet. Model 22 extends to 19 feet.

The PERFECT ladder for a strong person.
Used this to change a lightbulb on my staircase. It's been bugging me for ages, and I finally did it. I've also used it around the house to install curtains and such. This ladder is sturdy and versitile. It can do a lot of stuff.Perhaps my favorite part is how strong it feels. When I climb up, I don't feel any give. None. For a 230 pound man, it is comforting. There are only two things that you need to consider when choosing if this ladder is right for you.First, standing barefoot on this is tantamount to torture. I'm not sure how they did it, but they managed to design these to be incredibly uncomfortable to bare feet. You've been warned.Second, this is HEAVY. Surprisingly heavy. Look at the weight and lift something comparable. Some of you out there will have a hard time moving it around. Im a tall strong guy, but even I can strain a bit when moving it around.

The ladder cost over $200 dollars and I was very disappointed and concerned that such cheap plastic pieces are used ...
Ladder was shipped with two dents in two different ladder rungs. The ladder safety bolt that keeps the ladder from collapsing while you’re on it fell out of the rung it’s supposed to be secured on without warning. Upon further inspection, I noticed the safety locking bolt is secured into the ladder rung by a small cheap piece of plastic that has little bite and questionable integrity in its strength. The ladder cost over $200 dollars and I was very disappointed and concerned that such cheap plastic pieces are used to hold safety bolts in that lock the ladder into-place so it doesn’t collapse when it’s raised up, especially as an extension ladder. I would not recommend this ladder, due to the safety concerns with the cheap plastic pieces that secure safety bolts to the rungs.

Solid multi-function ladder that's worth the price.
Edited on 1/30/19 to add a pic and update: Still quite pleased with this ladder. It's bulky, sure, but it allowed me to paint a tall stairwell without too much difficulty and only a few Cirque du Soleil-style maneuvers. Definitely a good purchase if you don't have a ton of room for multiple ladders. (And surprisingly stable on stairs.)+++I like this ladder more than I expected. I've used it extensively over the past month as I tackled what turned out to be a never-ending porch and trim painting project (with a side of caulking around windows), and the Little Giant 22 foot ladder has been perfect for getting solid, safe access to where I need to work. It's easiest to use in stepladder form, and I particularly like the 90 degree configuration for working close to walls. It's definitely tricky to maneuver when fully extended as an extension ladder so if your project included a lot of work at that height I could see it being quicker to use a more traditional extension ladder. Overall, it's nice to have this around for all sorts of house projects. Usually I find multi-function products to be mediocre across the board so it's a surprise when something like this does several things well.

very easy after few trials
Used it twice till now. Once fully extended as step ladder to replace bulbs for entrance chandelier. Second extended to 18-19 ft to fix high entrance curtain rod. In both cases it worked well. I watched the video twice and tried it few times in the garage to get familiar with it. As a step ladder, very easy after few trials, just do not extended all the way on one side. Go two slots on one side and then 2-3 on the other side. It takes few seconds more but I think it makes it easier to go all the way with no awkward positions. To use it as extension ladder, you need some space to get one side fully extended and then open it up. I did it outside the house than moved inside and extended the other side. Again, just play with it few times before you move to finish the job.The one thing I would say I did not like, is the residue on the wall from the legs of the side that was up the wall. I had this issue with other ladders too, so nothing new here. I cleaned it quickly before I go down but I will look for a boot or something.

Broken in Shipping
Great ladder, exactly what I was looking for, but it arrived damaged. The plastic 'caps' that hold the locking pins in place, were broken on side causing the pins to come completely off of the ladder. It is still functional and can safely be used, as the pins can be reinserted into and lock, but unlocking them requires the lines be completely removed. And when storing the ladder, it means that it has be stored upright, or the pins fallout, so I can't put it on my truck.I would have returned it, but I didn't get around to unpacking it or using for almost a month after I received. The damage most certainly from the lack of packing material and/or handling during shipping.

Excellent ladder
I'm painting the exterior of my home. I've used the extension part of the ladder many times and feel very secure, very safe. Before buying this Little Giant I measured my exterior walls - making sure which Little Giant to purchase. The 22 foot would have been overkill - too tall for setup against the walls and the sloping eaves. There are numerous videos about the various configurations of the Little Giant for proper use. I highly recommend this Little Giant.UPDATE 11/10/2016I have finished painting the exterior of my home. The Little Giant was invaluable. It weighs about 30 lbs. So it is not a lightweight ladder but I moved it easily (I had rotator cuff surgery 3 years ago) from place to place as well as resized it depending on which part of the house I was painting. I mention the weight of the ladder because some reviewers thought it was a bit heavy. The main thing is that this ladder is safe, sturdy, reliable. I felt totally secure going up and down the ladder. I highly recommend this Little Giant Ladder.
