Merrell Men's Jungle Moc Leather Waterproof Ice+ Moccasin

This is my 5th pair of Merrell Moc Slip-Ons and I will keep buying them as long as Merrell makes them. True to size and fit, this is a slip-on that doesn’t feel like slip-ons. Once my foot is in the shoe it feels like having a tied shoe on. I wear these everywhere, and bought this particular color for wearing around the house instead of slippers.I’ve been wearing this model of Merrell Mocs for 16-hours a day over the past 10 years, and finally decided to purchase these 1/2 size larger and they are a perfect, comfortable fit for a slipper. I tried Merrell’s actual slippers and didn’t like them for sake of no arch support. However, these Mocs are so lightweight they are perfection for slippers.As for daily wear and tear, indoors and outdoors, these last me about 2 years before my wide foot starts separating the leather from the sole. If I worked only inside I would guess they would last twice that long. Being waterproof, I wear them everywhere, including traversing snow-covered sidewalks and fishing from boat or shore. They hike like a boot and, well, why have anything else on my feet.Last of all, it’s so nice to be able to slip out of them at the door, and back into them when leaving. No sitting and tying shoes is awesome. They also clean-up with a wet cloth or I can clean them at the sink if I get too much mud in the aggressive tread. They’re simply the perfect shoe.

These took about 5 days to arrive, like it said, no surprise. I am VERY pleased with the shoes. First I checked for fit, and I had ordered my normal size and these fit perfectly. They may seem a little snug, but unless you don't mind coming out of a slip on shoe, you want it to fit a little snug. I can feel the arch support, and I like that. The inside has a soft material lining that is comfortable. Now to the slip on part. For me, if I don't have the shoe up against something like a wall or furniture, when I try to put my foot in, the shoe slides away. When I block it against something, my foot slips in easily and snug secure. The rear of the shoe is sturdy enough so that it does not double over under your heel, at least when new. I took a 2 mile walk in the neighborhood the first day, they were comfortable. I found nothing to dislike about the shoe. Everything about it pleased me.

The hubs has some compression fractures in his spine and temporarily can't bend over to put on shoes. I didn't want to bend over to put on his shoes, either, and we decided to take a chance on some mail order shoes -- these. SUCCESS! Comfortable, can put them on without bending over, look fine. I don't know if they would be good for long-term standing or walking because he's obviously not doing a ton of that, but he's quite fond of them for everything else so far. Wears them half the time, alternating with some Oofos slipons.

They are nice comfortable slipper shoes with a good stiff sole. Well made. I don't know why shipping took three weeks though. That's super s-l-o-w.

I did get blisters breaking them in because they are sturdy like a hiking boot. But once they do get broke in, I wear them for everything. They are a nice dress shoe, walking shoe, hiking shoe. They are absolutely waterproof. I wear them everywhere and for most things. I will have have holes in them before I give them up.

It’s wonderful product

As stated, I own 3 pair , in various colors. Don't let the suede look fool you, they are really tough and stand up well to average stains. Very cleanable when I do manage to get them dirty, just warm wash rag and usually that's all. I'm working in retail in a big box wearhouse type store and I'm on my feet a lot and wouldn't be without my jungle mocs. Lots of compliments too. I even use my oldest pair as yard shoes for everything from pushing lawnmowers and weedeaters to cutting trees with a chainsaw and they are hanging tough.

I discovered Merrill Jungle Boots many years ago and have worn nothing else since. When my every day pair wore out recently I was delighted to discover that they were now available through Amazon. I have worn this pair constantly for about nine months at the time of this review. They are still comfortable, the elastic at the slip-on joint is still tight, and the black suede finish still looks good despite no special care. The Amazon price was right too -- about 60% of the cost of the similar pair it replaced (from a mall "outlet" store years earlier).
