Excellent product
Am using this product on a dementia patient. It does exactly what I need: turns on as soon as the cane is moved & points ahead at the floor to see where one is going. The amount of light is perfect…just enough to light the way at night. Have used this for about three weeks now, and batteries are still going. I do wish that this could be charged by USB rather than having to replace batteries. The unit is easy to install, and wraps tightly around the cane. I leave it on the cane 24 hours a day, and so far it has not slid or fallen off. So far I am very happy with this purchase.

Truly easy to install and easy to use.
Most cane accessories disappoint. The Path Light, however, works so well that it not only met, but also exceeded, my expectations.Installation is quick: install batteries, solidly attached unit to the cane, push the green button to set the cane to auto and you're done.In my darkened bedroom, my cane emits a soft LED glow so I can easily find my cane in the dark. The second my hand touches it the cane light automatically turns on, lighting my way through my darkened bedroom to the bathroom and back again. It was also helpful when I was in a public storage unit with a *timed* lighter that suddenly timed out with a loud click leaving me in complete darkness. Immediately, my Path Light switched on so I could easily navigate towards the timer by the front door and reset the timer so the ceiling lights would switch back on.It's is a perfect complement to a walking cane. I recommend as money well spent.

Works well, a few minor drawbacks
This light works well and does as intended, staying on standby during the night and coming on when the cane is moved. We turn it off during the day to save on battery, since it does not have a day/night sensor. It doesn't throw a ton of light, but it's bright enough to avoid obstacles and trip hazards, and the battery life is reasonable, from our experience. It installed fairly easily and seems to stay in place. The biggest drawback was to be expected - the light makes the cane somewhat top-heavier and more prone to falling over. So far, the light has stood up to the occasional fall, but I have to wonder how much of that it will take before it breaks. I may try moving it lower on the cane, which will cast a smaller cone of light, but should still be workable...

Light When You Need It !
I've recently had both knees replaced , found most of my discomfort was at night when I wasn't being distracted . This little light has been fantastic for my safety from falls. It turns on automatically , even in dim light or shadows, as well as total dark , and at the slightest movement. It gives a strong , perfect pool of LED light to illuminate the next few steps. It worked well on the walker but my cane is a bit more slender in diameter than normal , so I padded under the top fastener to prevent slipping. The first set of AAA batteries lasted a month with regular use. Recently I was in a restaurant for the birthday celebration of a 108 yr. old friend . He admired my light , so I've just ordered 2 for his hiking sticks ! If you find yourself needing walking aids, try this light . It's a must for night time safety !

Great product!
Attached easily to my aluminum cane. Easy to operate. No fumbling to locate the off/on buttons. The light is quite sufficient for dark night-time walking. Batteries last a good long time (I turn the light off when I go to bed. You do have the option of leaving it in the on position, which leaves the light in a sleeping/wake-up mode.) My cane has fallen several times; a few times the battery cover has come off in the fall, but it has never broken. And the cover only comes off when hitting a hard floor such as concrete or ceramic tile. I'd say this light is well worth the money.ADDENDUM to previous review: Oct 6, 2019.Have been very pleased with this Path Light since purchase. However, I recently had an issue with it --MY fault, not the product's failing -- and had to contact the company.GSK Innovative Solutions has great customer service! Don't be afraid of doing business with this company; they take care of their customers!6 stars out of 5. Really.

Wouldn't fit
Was really disappointed because it would not fit around my dad's cane. We ended up zip tying it on the cane. The light works sporadically. I had hope this would work well for my dad, he's 82, and likes to be in his shop so walking back to his house, he needed that light so he was bummed as well. We through packaging away before knew issues with lighting so couldn't send back so didn't message company about issue.

Works well. Stays in place on a wooden cane.
The gift recipient raves about this and has gotten frequent compliments. Used daily. It’s attached to an irregular carved wooden cane rather than a modern manufactured one and it stays in place fine.

Great gadget. Helpful
I hurt my foot about a month ago. I was using a cane to help with the pain. I was getting ready for work early in the morning, the house was dark and I was going up the stairs when I thought I need a light on this. This little flashlight snapped on to the cane. The light points down and has a sensor for movement and low light. Perfect!! Also I placed it next to my bed and it has a small blue light that helps with finding my cane in the middle of the night. When going to work early in the morning it lit the path ahead of me. I really like this little gadget. I would definitely buy this again. It would make an awesome gift for someone who uses a cane.
