Love this line of Calphalon cookware!
Quite a few years back my wife and I purchased a set of the Calphalon Space-Saving cookware and we haven't looked back.I had to replace our 12" fry pan as that is our primarily used pan. It was showing a lot of wear and wasn't as non-stick as it used to be. I accidentally ordered this sauté' pan and will definitely keep it.It is wonderful and I have inspected some of our other pans and will replace a couple of them as well. The space-saving feature is fantastic and will definitely aid you in keeping pans in a compact area providing more room for other kitchen items.I love having this sauté' pan as it has the same volume as our dutch oven. It is very easy to cook our meals with and cleanup is a breeze. The depth compared to a 12" fry pan is a great option to have. If you are in need of a sauté' pan then this should be on the top of your list to consider. It is versatile and will provide you years of cooking enjoyment.

Perfect for stir fry
One of my favorite pans. The high sides make it perfect for stir frying. It’s a little on the small side but big enough to cook for two. If you have a big family, this may be too small so make sure you check the measurements before you buy.The pan itself is thick and heavy, and I expect it’ll last a long time.

The Size Works - The Lid Drains the Condensation Moisture Easily
The pot is well sized for our needs. We really like the height. It is wide enough and tall enough to allow a good amount of content, but it is not too high to work with. My with is 5" 4" and she can easily see inside the pot. We can easily stir the contents and the wide width allows you to easily transfer contents to the pot without spilling over the outside edges. At first we were not sure about the lid, but it works quite well. It is designed so you can easily drain the condensation on the underside of the lid back into the pot when you remove the lid. Just tip the lid into the pot and the condensation drains right off. Give it a little shake and your are good to go. Then flip the lid over to set aside on kitchen counter and there is no mess. The one difference we noticed from our old thin walled steel kettle, is the this pot requires a bit more heat to get it up to boiling. Once you get it there, it cooks and simmers just like our old pot. The greatest benefit, of course, is the easy clean-up due to the not stick surface. Wow! We love that. And even though it is rather large in size, it fits under our sink faucet in one side of our two-sided kitchen sink. This also helps make clean-up easy. Over-all this has been a great purchase for us.

I'm in love!
I've been happy with this finish from Calphalon. I purchased a larger one earlier this year. I like the space savings mainly because of the way the cover fits.... and of course the stacking ability also. I like the heft it has; because of this weight, I find it heats very evenly. I have an electric stove, so quality cookware is important for heat distribution. This is the "working size" for me that gets used almost every day. It's easy to wash and well..... I just love it.

Great pot with horrible lid
The stock pot itself is fantastic. Feels & looks high quality and is perfect size to make stew for up to 14-15 ppl. However, whoever designed and approved that lid needs to be fired. it is a flat cover with no handle. To lift it, you must use both hands and use thermal pot holders. The design is optimized to stacking in a cabinet than use during the cooking. The lid is useless. For this reason, unfortunately, I am going to return mine.

Expensive but worth it.
I ordered an entire set of Calphalon pans for the first time. These are top-quality and the best cookware I have every had. This 12 quart stock pot is wide and short and will fit on its side in my cabinet. I prefer this wider size than my old really tall pot.

Nice Addition
I purchased this to replace a 2qt sauce pan and orginally thought it was too wide. After using it for several stews and for pasta, I am quite impressed with the pan. The size is perfect and it fits easily into my pan cabinet. The quality of manufacturing is quite noticeable and it cleans with ease. I highly recommend this item.
