One year update; Still going strong and still a game changer almost a year later. I got the larger size with the side dump and happy I did, it picks up crab apples, walnuts, dime size acorns, and golfballs with ease. It does seem like the handle is starting to get wobbly at the shaft clamps, not a demerit yet but worth mentioning/keeping an eye on. Also give the roller collars a spray of dry lube once in a while. Still would buy another one again. Original review; We’ve had this for a few weeks now and we’d buy it again if needed. Definitely functional, seems well built enough for home use, and a back saver. Works well with walnuts, crab apples, small pine cones, and kids toys. Our 1.5 year old liked pushing it around and I tested it inside picking her toys up. Might snag another one for those inside tasks.

I took a chance on this hoping it would gather the tiny pine cones in my yard. It worked surprisingly well! It said not for use with pine cones on the box. However, I think that is for normal sized pine cones. I’m pretty sure it would not work on those. Works in the small acorn sized ones.

It works well for picking up walnut sized rock in my yard (if thats what you want to call the space outside my door). I had a "chirt" base put down thats what sometimes gets used in the south. It packs very well but it can be very rocky. I just roll this little guy over the rocks and like magic, they're in the roller then just dump them into a 5 gal bucket. I took off one star because they don't always stay inside the roller but hey, I'm using it for rocks, what can I expect. It does a nice job and is a lot easier than bending over and picking each rock up. takes me about 2 minutes to pick up 20 rocks so I just keep it on the front porch and roll it around if I see my rock crop is getting out of hand.

This is an amazing product. It is easy to use and does a great job of getting the pecans that are in the grass and even though that are slightly pushed into the ground, the pecans come out very easily. We’ve had others from different companies and they were OK but this one is definitely a game changer. If you’re considering purchasing this then don’t wait and just make the purchase. You won’t regret it. I gave it to my husband as a gift and he loves it.

My neighbor has a sweet gum tree that is beautiful in the fall but really becomes a nuisance in the winter. In early winter it starts to drop sweet gum balls (also called witches burrs, a more apt name, in my opinion) by the dozens in my yard. These spiny little balls hurt like heck if you step on them; they can also cause falls. I needed something that would save me some time in picking these pesky little things up and I believe I’ve found it in the medium sized Zoen Nut Gatherer. After I put it together I spent only a few minutes in my yard rolling it over a small area and it picked up numerous sweet gum balls, as well as small pinecones and acorns. I’m pleased, as I previously had to pay someone to handle this task. The unit was very simple to get ready for use, as well. The only drawback is getting the sweet gum balls out, as they clump together, but not a deal breaker. Highly recommend!

It works ok but if your nuts are in longer grass it doesn't pick them up as well. Make sure you pick the right size gatherer for the nuts you're picking up.

Great for picking up walnuts in my yard. makes it easy to dump and collect the nuts without getting my hands dirty. It's better than the last gatherer i had which was smaller and didn't have a door to drop the nuts in a bucket, that one required too much work to drop the nuts and didn't collect as many. I also like that this one collapses for storage and gets smaller so my young sone can use it.

It seems to be a bumper crop year for black walnuts... too many to hit with a golf club [smile] and easily gather, and horrible for the mower. So, I bought this large nut gatherer. Due to size of fallen walnut fruits, it doesn't hold many but it does pick up the large ones. It's a bit time consuming to shake the balls out of the gatherer, but it does work. I am 68 and not in great physical shape, so it's slow but it is strengthening my arms [another grin]. I am not in a hurry to get it done in a day or two so it is worth it. Costwise, it is a bit expensive and wish I had bought it years ago before the tariffs and pricing games and that is why I can't give it another star. But, it is well built, has a retractable handle that works well, and works okay for very large nuts. I wish I had had it when I was much younger and had all those sticker balls in my yard I had to rake.

We had a crazy year for oak tree acorns; they were everywhere and I didn’t want them sprouting. This thing didn’t an amazing job of picking them up. Highly recommended

In Western Australia, we have a certain breed of gum tree that produces gum nuts, locally known as honkey nuts. They are the size of walnuts and for large trees can be prolific and are annoying to rake up. I had hoped this would work, but I was stunned as to how well the Zozen Nut Gatherer works on honkey nuts. Thrilled with how easy this chore has now become....
