The product is not in pellet form. i use N95 mask.

Is this slow release?

Not really slow release. This brand is really good. This is one is Bloom for when the buds start to form. They have another fertilizer for growth. You can also buy both in 5 gallon buckets. Not cheap though.

what is in this that causes blooms?

Photo period of the amount of light/darkness a plant get is what causes “blooms” phosphorus and potassium and gonna be the main nutrients associated with flower growth. fish bonemeal and rock phosphate are your main sources of P and sulfate of potash and and langbeinite are your main sources of K
