Okay read
I wanted some background info on fairies, this book had it. Though it reads a bit "religious in tone. If you truly believe in fey folk this book is for you. If you just want some lore the preachy bits are at the ends of chapters and you can mostly avoid it. It seems very well researched and I liked the overall writing style.

Quite good with good exercises to do
Never use the word 'complete' in the title of a book unless it is complete. This one isn't and I haven't read a book involving the paranormal that was really 'complete. There is just so much involved in the paranormal that it's almost impossible to have 'complete' actually be just that.Even in encyclopedias of the paranormal there are things not covered. One of the difficulties is that many of these books are written based on the Western experience with paranormal beings and don't include information on beings from other cultures and other times. I just ordered a book over 700 pages long and I'll be interested to see just how 'complete' that one is.Anyhow, for what's in the book, this one is very good. It has informational chapters and each chapter ends with a practical application of the information there. There is also a glossary of world fairies. The book goes into the origin of fairies, how they appear in literature, types of fairies and lots of other information. It's a useful reference.

If you love faeries you love this book
I am fascinated by faeires. I love to read about them and found this book well written, easy to understand and I am glad that I have it in my collection. It's the type of book you can browse through and find out cool information and not be overwhelmed by too much being thrown at you all at once.

Good reference when reading fairy tales
Written like a believer in fairies, or like a believer in fairy tales. Hard to know which, but had a lot of interesting info, fairly quick read, good glossary of types of fairies in the back. Exercises to see fairies (or at least imagine them). My daughter enjoyed the book!

A Must Have for Faery Seekers
I think that the more information I can get about any given topic the better.I am intrigued by anthropological lore, it reflects the wisdom and experiences of milleniaand I personally have had experience with Aine ( that I have met in meditation) and Natural beings that not many can see( I am still waiting to see them, but they have done things that cannot be attributable to anything/one else).I found this book to be extremely informative, detailed, and interactive ( teaches).I'm happy to add it to my collection.

Three Stars
The subject is more lightly regarded than I expected, but still an interesting reading.
