Every bit as good as a Nagoya but at 1/3rd the Cost!
Tested head to head with a Nagoya (not a counterfeit but the real thing) and transmission and reception performance is nearly identical. We have no problem talking antenna to antenna anywhere around town (within out two we can be about 4 miles away from each other at max) with our 10watt handhelds in the 144 band. These are built well and the RF performance is 99% as good as a Nagoya at 1/3rd the price. My wife and I radio has Nagoyas on them and the kids radios have these, if I ever had to buy antenna again for handhelds I would most definitely buy these over a Nagoya as the performances is identical and the price is substantially lower. When some of us are in the next town over out around 16 miles (the kids have friends out there and cell service is bad so they always carry their Hams) we have a repeater that's in between us at around 9 miles from me and 7 miles from the kids and we can easily get the repeater with these antenna. We have checked and from 12miles out both antennas will catch the repeater without issue even at 5w. When we are out on the water King fishing and running two boats we take our handhelds and range is horizon to horizon without any issue. While Nagoya makes a great antenna so does this company and the price difference just isn't worth it to buy the real thing considering build quality and RF performance is identical but the price is 1/3rd.

Affordable performance improvement
These Abbree antennas seem to be really well tuned for GMRS. They are a huge improvement over the stock short antenna provided with most radios. If conditions are good, I can get into a repeater approximately 35 miles away with full quieting. This was done with several ~5 watt handhelds. Receive performance is also significantly improved.A good antenna is essential for you to be able to get the most out of your radio. It makes more of a difference than higher wattage, which only drains your battery quicker.I tested several GMRS antennas, including the more expensive Nagoya. This one works just as good, if not better, and it costs less money. A win/win situation. I'm ordering more of these ASAP. Highly recommended!73s

Great GMRS antenna, if you can get it to actually arrive…
The antenna is great. The shipping, less so. I’ve had to order it 3 times because 2 of the shipments got lost or rejected by customs. Not sure how an antenna is supposed to be a problem for clearing customs, but whatever…

Great Antenna for the price
If you don't want to spend the same amount of money on an antenna as the radio itself cost, these are a great option. I've used these on multiple Baofeng models and have been very pleased with the results. On my AR-5RM (yes, I know it's not type-certified for GMRS use), I can hit a repeater that is 14 air-miles away consistently. I also own and have tested the Nagoya NA-701G and NA-701C and the Abbree is the most consistent of them all from that range (though the NA-701C is my favorite all-arounder). I own a total of 3 of the antennas, all orange, and they all perform very well, with SWR's of 1.1:1 on the 1st I purchased and 1.2-1.3:1 on the other two. I've also recommended them to a few friends. Keep in mind though, that these are 5/8 wave antennas, so if you are in a dense urban environment, they MAY actually perform worse than a shorter antenna. This is no fault of the antenna, just the fact that 1/4 wave and 5/8 wave antennas perform differently, and should be used accordingly depending on the surrounding terrain/environment.

Great range
Very good coverage for my Wouxun Kg-s65g, from inside home pulls in NOAA weather reports crystal clear as the stock antenna would not pick up. Nice color orange hard to find in stock.only issue I had was the machine threads on connector of antenna was not screwing on smoothly as the OEM rubber ducky. All in all a great antenna

Very nice tuned well for GMRS.
Works well and is actually tuned to GMRS frequencies. Check the photos I uploaded to see the results. SWR @ 462 Mhz is around 1.3:1 and @ 467 Mhz is an impressive 1.06:1 so this would be a very good antenna to use on repeaters with a 467 Mhz input. Which is exactly what I am using it for. In use it is a worthwhile upgrade over the stock antennas that came with my radio. I highly recommend this antenna.

Does NOT FIT the UV-5G!!!
Description claims that this antenna fits the Baofeng UV-5G. This is not true. the Baofeng UV-5G needs an antenna with a FEMALE connection. The antenna they sent me has the more standard MALE connector, which works on my other non GMRS radios.
