I remove it every so often to clean the dust collected from the side without any problem so far

I would say it's probably right around 1-2mm

Most do. I've gone through probably 3 and haven't had any issues

Q: Could you attach a pop socket (adhesive application) to this?

I don't see any reason why not. The cases are made of TPU so the adhesive should bond well even with the texture.

A very comfortable cover for the phone to hold

I'd say it's a 10/10. comparing it to my other covers, it's just slim and solid. I like to hold my phone with this case and the rest are not that great in my opinion. To be brutally honest, although it is expensive, there is nothing quiet like this one!
