I ordered these to complete a number amount that I needed for a project I have bought 36 pencils by another sailor and brand and these 12 pencils truck them off had I had known how well they worked I would have bought several packs and not buy from the other seller these are amazing the color is very vibrant the waxing them is very soft so it's easy to begin writing and they wipe clean they hold fast and they last a long time they are worth every penny built to last.

For plates and dishes? Oh, THAT'S why they're called China markers.I've found that Sharpies, written on plastic plant tags or plastic cups for plant id, fade in the sun and completely disappear.I've had one of these in the past, and because it uses something like wax or grease, figured it would not disappear. However, it does either fade somewhat, or wear off. My plant tags are difficult to read.That is not necessarily a fair criticism of the product, not knowing if that's an expected or recommended use. I'd still buy these because unlike that random sharpie you pick up, it will write. The sharpie may, or may have given up the ghose.

These pencils are great for marking on glass or tile. You just peel away the out layer to expose more of the colored "ink". They can be sharpened to a point for pinpoint accuracy. They are very easy to use and are a great deal for the price.

It figures while helping cleaning out someone's estate I found a few boxes of grease pencils that are probably 40 years old. They're slightly thicker and a bit sturdier.I like the various colors of these. Great for marking glass jars, tire rims, stuff like that. I highly prefer them over tape with someting written on it

I guess I was expecting a much more bold line from a softer material. This is more like a crayon kind of hardness.Purchased to mark on bowling balls to identify areas in need of minor repairs, but they’re pretty much worthless for that. Not sure what else these would be good for in my life, just expecting they’ll collect dust for a good 30-40 years in the garage. I’m sure they’d work great on paper but definitely not good for smooth surfaces. Again, they’re more like hard wax crayon than they are a traditional grease marker.
