I was bitten by the Commander bug recently. While I have several hundred cards and a couple dozen decks already built, I started diving into this new game variant after playing with some friends.Commander can quickly become a money-game, with people spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to fine-tune a single deck. If that's something you're willing and able to do, great. But, if you're like me and are frugally-minded when it comes to gaming, you should ABSOLUTELY grab one of these pre-constructed decks. I would recommend it even if it were $50-$60, but because of the fact that it's far less than that (at the time of my purchase) you simply can't beat it.By comparison, I've built a deck along the same theme for the same amount of money ($20-$30). That deck doesn't compare to this one, even though mine is rather well-built, if I do say so myself. This one came with several cards I've been looking for, that are each about half the price of the deck itself.If you know anything about building decks, you probably will want to do some tuning. But, if your goal is to open it up and start having fun right out the box, you can absolutely do it with this deck. You might even be able to open it right up, jump in a game, and win against people who have poured serious money into theirs; it's THAT good.All the cards were in mint-condition too, still in original packaging, so if that's a concern of yours you'll be fine.

I love this deck! For the price point that it came out with, it was definitely one of the best dragon decks to get!I highly recommend anyone that is starting, to get this deck if they can!

My first intro to a Commander deck. It's a bit of a slow burner as it relies on casting high mana dragons without many fetch lands, but as a precon it's strong and fun to play.Sleeves in Pic not included.

I haven't ever played Magic before but my friends are all veterans. This deck does a good job of holding its own against their overpowered, well tuned decks- with a few modifications. Lookup a guide and replace some of the weaker cards. You will also need more 'answer' cards for when somebody has something that cannot be killed by normal means, or when somebody tries to stop you from getting your powerful dragon on the field. Overall I have really enjoyed it and its simplicity helped me to get a feel for the game and made it easier to understand.

I actually won my first MTG game in months thanks to this deck!
