Very solid, affordable VG10 chef’s knife
I have Shun kitchen knives and I carry spyderco blades and am very familiar with VG10 steel.I bought this for a chef I work with after he told me how his last knife broke when his old boss misused it. I gave it to him and he really liked the appearance, the balance and sharpness out of the box. If you’re used to Shun or Victorinox knives, this will have more heft to it; it has the weight of most European chef’s knives (excluding global which are also lighter in comparison) For the same materials used, it’s about half the price of my Shun knives and seems to perform very well and holds a razor sharp edge. I haven’t had to sharpen it yet but VG10 is pretty easy to work with.The knife comes attractively packaged and for the price I’m very happy I could replace his old knife that broke. I’ll update my review after I sharpen it and after it has a few weeks in the kitchen.

It really holds an edge
I bought this knife on a whim. I didn't really believe the reviews and I figured for the price it couldn't possibly be as advertised. Holy cow was I wrong. I sharpen knives as a part time small business and I've found by far most people have never experience a truly sharp knife. This knife came as sharp as I can do on my best day and has held that edge for about 6 weeks now. My original plan was to not leave a review until it needed to be resharpened. Since I can't predict when that will be, I decided to review it today. I use it every day and since I got it, I rarely use my other chef's knives. I slammed it against my laminated bamboo cutting board when I got it (not recommended) then ran it over a knife steel to see how much the edge had deformed, not a bit. I run it over a knife steel every day before I use it and its never really needed it.Yes it's really Damascus steel and it's really freaking sharp. If you buy one, handle it with care... It doesn't appear like it will rust but I always wipe the blade dry after using it. I have another knife that costs 5 times (or more) than I paid for this one and isn't any better or maybe as good. Also the way the bolster goes into the handle allows me to choke up on the handle for better control. Unlike some other really expensive knives, this one has a great handle too.If you're not sure if you're going to buy one, stop thinking about it and get one, you won't be sorry that you did...

solid knife
i love this thing after one night in the kitchen. i cut alot of tuna at work and right out of the box this thing cuts really nice. its a little on the heavier side which i prefer and its balanced not too bad.

Good kitchen knife
I have been using Henckels kitchen knifes for over 20 years and I wanted new knife for cooking .Out the box this knife is pretty sharp and slice good for my needs. I just dont know about how to sharp this knife when I need it to .I dont think I want to put in to my electric sharpener. looks like will damage the blade . If someone knows about this please let me know.

Present for my daughter
This is a very beautiful knife and also a comfortable tool to enjoy making meals together in the kitchen. Haven’t had to sharpen it yet but I’m sure if done professionally it will remain a quality tool for a very reasonable price. Nicely balanced.

Company committed to customers
I got this as a birthday gift. The knife looks very nice, but it arrived dangerously dull, smashing a tomato without cutting through the skin. I'll need to take it to a professional to be sharpened before being able to really use the thing safely.Update: the company reached out to me about my review and wanted to make it right. They apologized and said that a small percentage of knives will leave the factory with defects. They sent me a new knife and it was PERFECT. Razor sharp. I pulled it straight out to test and it sliced through a tomato like it was butter. Could not be happier, and especially will be buying knives form a company that goes out of their way to take care of customers.
