How long does it last in the hight light mode?

We used it off and on for 2 days during a power outage, and it still was very bright. Be aware - the highest light mode is SO bright that if you are using it to light a counter for meal preparation for instance, you have to put it above the counter somewhat - the light is so bright at counter height it almost blinds you! This is a REALLY good lantern. I ended up deciding to use it in the future at a mid setting most of the time. If you are using it for emergency lighting in case of power outages, periodically recharge it. Our very old house is COLD in the winter and we found that it drained the battery a tiny bit between uses.

can it charge from a vehicle's cigarette lighter port (vehicle charging port)?

If it can charge from a usb cable you should be able to plug a USB adapter into the cigarette lighter port and charge away. So why not?

Can i buy a yellow colored bulb as opposed to this 'white' light bulb? What kind of bulb does it take?

Don't have an answer for that one. Contact manufacturer for that ine.

does the bottom screw off to store the plugs. Or do you carry the cords and plugs seperate.

You can unscrew the bottom to store the cord, but the plug will not fit inside.
