These crampons work really well on ice and slippery snow. They also are quite easy to put on---I have set aside a particular pair of boots and have them "installed" on these boots so that I always have some secure footwear to put on when going out in icy conditions. The rubber part of the product that is stretched around the sole fits fine and is secure. However, the medium size, when used on my boots, leaves a little slackness in the middle of the bottom of the foot so that the chains hang a bit loosely. It was easy to fix this, though, by simply using a plastic-coated twist tie to sort of "take a tuck" in the chain at the heel.The ice here in lower Michigan has been treacherous in spots where the snow got packed down and then froze, and now I can feel safe when having to go out on it. Great product!Just a warning---you won't want to walk with these on your interior floors because the little spikes are pointy and could cause damage.

My girlfriend and I got these for a trip to the grand canyon when we saw there could be ice. Turns out we really needed these for help getting down steep slopes with ice and mud. We would have been sliding all over the place without them. We were able to move quickly with these on while others were falling down and getting stuck. Also - so easy to use, on and off in under a minute. We never used crampons before and these were just so straightforward to use. Without these our trip could have been ruined!!

I've never owned nor used microspikes before but needed these on an icy hike. I didn't want to spend the $40+ for another brand so got these based on the good reviews. They worked awesome! Easy to put on and take off, you can squish them into your backpack with no problem. They came with a black pouch for easy transit. No issues with the rubber that others are complaining about, but we'll see how they hold up over time. I'm a size 7 womens shoe and got the Medium and they fit perfectly with no slack and didn't budge once I had them on.

Have used these for about 200 miles of mountain and trail running and while they're no longer sharp (from running on rocks occasionally) they haven't failed. They stay put on the shoe well too. I've inspected them side by side with kahtoola microspikes and they have about the same gauge wire and sheet metal. I can't speak to the metal used, but these have seemed to be plenty tough.

I normally don't leave reviews but I have to with this product I was slipping and sliding playing with my dogs in my yard as it is a skating rink I ordered these put them on and never slipped on the ice again. Worth every penny I spent I can't say enough about this product Ordered a medium perfectly fit my Womens size 8 boot You will not be disappointed with these if you are outside on slick conditions!!!!

One was bigger than the other making the chain drag on my left only. My boyfriend took a couple links out of the chain on the left and now they both match and work well.

I feel the quality Is low in the metal cleats and chains , and will not hold up very long in real world application , they feel delicate

Tested on a Glacier, inside an ICE CAVE in fricking ICELAND! What else o you need??? ohh wait... you need more? Ok, one of the individuals using them had her shoes almost literally fall appart. We used duct tape and then these to keep them together and they FRICKING WORKED FOR 3 MORE DAYS!!!!!! BUY THEM DAMMIT, nothing on amazon works as good as these do. Their paking sucks though... that thing ripped on the second day... but who cares... the spikes do work and that's what will keep you alive
