Merrell Men's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot

I first heard about Merrill Boots while I was in the Marine Corps and eventually was issued these, and fell in love with them. They were the first gen MOAB’s they were light and very comfortable, now that I have retired I wanted a better hiking book for when I go camping and working around the my cabin, the fit is amazing, the color is spot on and I love how the new gen has more aggressive traction, which is a huge plus. Overall these feel better than what I had and I know that the durability of these boots will last a long time. Plus they are 100% waterproof and when you pair these with OR gaiters you are golden for any adventure.

Love this hiking boot! My size 13 foot is hard to fit, but the Moab not only fit but from day 1 was extremely comfortable to walk in. I did size up to a 14 to allow for sock thickness since I had tried on a 13 and it felt too tight with the sock - maybe the Moab runs a 1/2 size small? Good looking, traditional look boot and seems to handle wet rocks fine. For a 220lb guy, I find the sole to not be too rigid when hiking over dirt, shale, rocks, etc. That said, I would not rock climb in the boot but then its not really made for that.

These shoes are so comfortable i didn't even need to break them in which is a first for me! I got to experience them in pretty muddy conditions and the traction really helped keep me from slipping and falling they are pretty light and fits my feet just right!

I would have given them 5 stars except for the tight fit. I have a few pairs of Merrell boots and they seem to fit fine. The toe box on this pair was not as comfortable as my other pairs. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact these boots are waterproof or not?After a break-in period of a few hikes and changing the sole inserts they seem to fit better now.I like the quality and look of Merrell boots

The boots arrived right on time, the night before I was leaving on a 5-6 week trip. Have worn them 3-4 times, my feet stayed dry, ankles supported well, and I didn’t slip at all! 3 for 3!

I have used them for a whole year now. Love them.Pros very comfortable, Great ankle support, no foot pain, I've done many big hikes with theseCons, Traction could be better but it's more than adequate.

I bought them a year ago to replace my combat boots that I would wear when I place airsoft and go hiking. It was a night and day difference between these and the combat boots I was issued in the Air Force. They are a lot more comfortable and my feet hurt a lot less after a day of hiking or playing airsoft. I didn’t have any issues with my feet getting wet when I went to an event where it rained all day. Everyone had issues with their feet getting soaked and cold except me. The only issue I have is rocks and dirt getting into my shoes when I play airsoft. I tried to find some combat boots that we as comfortable as these and even tried the lowa zephyr mk2s and still like these better. In the end I decided to just get some lightweight breathable gaiters to keep the dirt out of my shoes and still be comfortable.

Very comfortable boots. Arrived very quickly.
