Solid little mic for the price – easy upgrade over built-in audio
I picked up the MAONO USB-C lavalier mic mainly for recording voiceovers on my Android phone and the occasional Zoom call on my MacBook. I didn’t want to deal with bulky gear or adapters—just something that works when I plug it in. And that’s exactly what this mic delivers. Right out of the box, it was plug-and-play. No setup, no app, no drivers. My phone recognized it instantly, and I was recording within seconds. I’ve also used it with my iPad and a USB-C laptop—same smooth experience. Sound quality? Way better than I expected at this price point. My voice comes through clearly, without that hollow or echoey sound you get from built-in mics. It's great for spoken word, like interviews or vlogging. It does pick up a bit of background noise if you’re in a loud space, but that’s normal for omnidirectional mics. The included clip is sturdy, though I recommend being gentle—it feels like it could snap if you force it. The cable is long and flexible, which gives you plenty of room to position the mic how you want. And the foam windscreen actually helps cut down on harsh "P" and "S" sounds. Minor drawbacks: There’s a faint hiss if you're in a silent room and boost the volume too much—but nothing that ruined a recording. The mic picks up everything around you, so it works best in quiet settings. Silicone attracts a bit of lint from your clothes or pocket. Overall, I’m super happy with it. It’s not pro studio quality, but for the price and convenience, it’s honestly a no-brainer. Perfect for TikToks, casual YouTube videos, or improving your audio for video calls.

Sometimes cheap is good!
Super happy with this! I was using a headset for content creation, and this lav produces almost as clear an audio recording without the hassle of a boom in my face. Good price, no functionality issues... WIN!

Great mic, easy install
Very good mic that plugs and play instantly. Works well in large rooms and picks up voices quite well. I would say the closer you are to your subject the better. Definitely not for exclusive voice isolation. No popping noises either.

Definitely a great microphone
I love this product it works amazing with amazing sound however I accidentally tripped over the wire and smashed it right out of my computer which broke the cable so I must buy another one but it's worth it.

YMMV
This mic sounds really good when plugged into my desktop PC, but connected to my laptop it sounds horrible, like unusable. I'm a pretty tech-savvy guy so I've tried nearly everything to try and make it sound better but it won't budge. The clip is a little strange as others have mentioned but it's good value assuming you connect it to a machine that doesn't mess with it.

Good quality mic for the price
I compared three popular lavalier mics available from Amazon - this Move, Maono, and a DeWise. The DeWise has a 1/8" plug so I used a Dukabel USB adapter. I do a podcast (two people with lavalier mics) and find that that lavaliers are a good choice for people like me who tend to move their head from side to side. My computer is a MacBook Pro. The Movo had a very strong signal - very strong. It will cause issues for many people. I had to turn down my input on the Midi and System Prefs to .143! The signal was a little muffled. Not a terrible signal, but a little lacking. The Maono seemed to have an easier to control signal. I set the input to between .6 and .7 depending on the person. It was plenty strong enough for any application. The signal was fairly balanced and clear. I personally liked the sound quality. The DeWise seemed to work well with a similar setting to the Maono (.6 - .7). The signal is fairly clear and has a reasonable sound quality. It has a bit more on the treble end of the frequency curve. That may work for you if needed. Another word on the DeWise - since it is a 1/8" plug be very careful if you plan to use it with a mixer. They left out a very important explanation. When using that kind of condenser mic, you will need phantom power. But (and that's a big But), you will need a transforming XLR adapter (Rode has a good one) that steps down the voltage to about 4 or 5 volts. If not, you may likely fry the mic. I preferred the sound quality and ease of use of the Maono over the other two. But currently, we are using both the Maono and DeWise together and they work well as an Aggregate mic set up. The Movo is a back-up at best, and we might return it.

Unbelievably muffled sound
The sound quality is next level horrible - PC, Android, IOS; doesn't matter the app. If you want to feel like you're talking through 3 pillows on a 1940's radio, this the mic for you.
