bought as a gift for my sister very good grinder mechanism from corse to fine and they look good on the table good joseph and joseph product would recommend as would my sister

These Which recommended products actually work. They appear well made and reasonably stylish. Big benefit is that they not only work well, but are easy to fill, have considerable capacity for salt crystals / peppercorns and also not messy due to the fact that they store in a position where the milling output is uppermost. You can effectively adjust the fineness of the Millings too. They are the best Salt and Pepper Mills I have ever owned, not cheap but sensibly priced given that they operate so well. Very pleased.

Beautiful on the table and able to grind the Salt to a fine powder. Easy to adjust the grind size. Only issue I found is the silver top traps the grinds and so sometimes a lump falls out.

Update: 2.5 years in - still going strong and just as good! I’d been looking at a similar salt and pepper grinder design to these for ages as ours had a knack for leaving salt all over the table. Although the other design is lovely I was concerned about the longevity of them, especially as they’re quite dear (similar price point to these). We already have a couple of Joseph Joseph items, all of which have lasted well, so I was pretty pleased when these came out! A trusted brand and all that. They’ve only been in use for a couple of days but they’re really easy to fill and use. I found it a little odd initially as the salt tends to come out of one side (although this does now seem logical when I wrote it down...) They look and feel lovely - good enough for every day use but equally happy on a dinner party table.

Really liked the styling of these, until pepper failed completely. The salt/pepper comes out at the top, the screwthread for the grind adjuster on the top has completely worn away in a few months light use and without actually being adjusted much, it fell off, tried various repairs, now going in the bin. The metal of the thread pin is far too soft for its job. Rubbish, don't bother.

These certainly look good, though the salt does crust over we find and very occasionally you have to knock it off. Now this is more than likely our own fault because these sit on the side in the kitchen all the time so steam from cooking will obviously affect them. However, the salt and pepper mills we had before (same twist style function) did not get the same issues as they had the salt coming out the bottom so when not in use the part that the salt comes out was sitting on the counter top so no steam can get to them. Keep these in the dining room then there should be no issues. Other than the dampness issue we have, the actual items work well and grind the salt and pepper as you would like it to being adjustable. They are also solid quality feel items.

Well made, but messy! The mess isn’t under the grinder but now all over the table top.

Ich habe diesen Mühlen vor etwa 10 Jahren schon mal bei einer großen Kaffeekette gekauft. Diese Mühlen waren super. Tolles handling, tolles Mahlwerk und super Design. Da das Mahlwerk oben liegt, machen sie Mühlen auch keine Sauerei auf dem Tisch. Leider kam meine aktuelle Bestellung nicht an bzw. hat der Amazonfahrer das Paket irgendwo hinterlassen. Aber ich denke die Mühlen mahlen noch immer super, so wie damals.

These are very aesthetically pleasing salt and pepper grinders. I was sick of our electronic ones leaving a puddle of salt and pepper on the table when set down so I was specifically looking for manual grinders that grind from the top. This design also doesn’t allow dust to settle onto the top grinder since it is covered. They are build nicely. Grind pretty finely. They hold a large amount of salt and peppercorns. To grind by turning the upper half, works well and turns smoothly and easily. Very pleased with the value of this item.

Pepermolen werkt perfect. Zoutmolen niet optimaal. Het lijkt net of het zout blijft hangen.
