>>UPDATE<< It's been 2 years now of use, and I still recommend this over any cheap coffee maker, I have small Black & Decker which I use when I'm in a hurry, but the taste doesn't even come close to this. The only bad note I have had with this is that when you pour it, it doesn't come out evenly and will drip on the counter. It's something I myself can live with as the quality out weights it, but if you have a nice table cloth, be careful or pour the coffee at the counter. ;)After initially getting this for tea, I've used it mainly for coffee for the last 6 months. What I can say about it, it makes wonderful coffee, easy to clean, and is built fairly well. I bought this one after buying a cheaper version from another company, that was broken on arrival. I am very happy with this product and would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a good\reliable French coffee press. Also the filter is easy to take off and replace if need to.

This French press has outshined others that I had paid a lot more for. The glass isn't very thick and seems delicate but mine has survived slipping from my wet hands into the sink twice. A surprise to me since my last press cost me more than twice this one and it broke while I was stirring grounds in it. A light tap with a spoon while I was half awake and it was over. Not this time though! I would purchase this item again and probably will make it a gift for the holidays to at least one person in my family.

I love a good french press, but I opted for cheap and got exactly what I paid for. A decent press with minimal flaws. The real true flaw, the one that stands out most, is the use of plastic on the cap and pour filter. This should have been made with metal and good rubber rings for sealing. But I paid a cheap price and did not expect more than what I got. Overall, a good purchase. But If money weren't a concern I surely would have spent more and got something way better made.

I made my first cup of French Press this morning with this coffee maker. Works really well, makes really good coffee, looks nice in the kitchen with my other kitchen toys. I really don't understand the negative reviews, it worked perfectly for me and I didn't know what I was doing. (I followed instructions that were included in box). Great value compared to other devices. Couldn't be happier. My only problem is how to take it apart, I assume the rod is screwed into the base but it is very tight and I am afraid to put too much pressure on it and breaking it.......

Love the features on this french press! The pour button and enclosed lid is very nice! Keeps coffee hotter then my previous french press! Yes it's glass, it may break. If and when it does, I will replace it with the same! Hand wash only, don't put it in the dishwasher. Love the mixing spoon and extra screen filters that came with it! I also love the industrial chrome look that it has! And the handle makes it look and feel like a bier stein! Can't believe I wrote so much about this item, guess that's how much I love this thing!

I’ve had it for 8ish months now and it still works well. The plastic cap to the lid doesn’t stay locked in place but that’s really more of an aesthetic thing.Not the best quality but for the price I think it’s a good deal.

Love this coffee maker. One of the best designs that's out there. Only issue is is that I put it in the dishwasher and it cracked. I'm going to buy another one. I will put it in the dishwasher this tome.

My first French Press and love it. Easy to use, easy to clean. Came with simple instructions.
