I haven't used it yet on a trip, but can tell by the way it fits it will be fine. This is the 4th back pack I tried and all the previous ones I returned because they were uncomfortable, or not practical in some way . I am 5'2' and the shoulder straps and chest strap are adjustable to my small frame (and taller folks too) while other brands lacked the tightening abilities for a short person. It sits high on my shoulders so not necessary to bend forward to balance the weight. Good posture won't tire you out. Plenty of room inside, with lots of pockets and it's not black fabric inside, which always makes it harder to find stuff in there. Comes with extra packing bags to keep items separate, again easier to locate stuff. My only criticism is the fake plastic leather, bummer, makes it look cheap. I hope that part holds up for wear and tear. I would have been happier with real leather on those places, OR, to keep the price low, just used the same material all the rest of it is made from. But I'll live with it, I think I shall be quite pleased on long trips with it. I like the color too. Seems very well made, with heavy fabric, therefore durable. yet lightweight over all. 5 stars. Review: Great bag - just wish it had more visual appeal - I went on a "bag buying frenzy" about 6 months ago and purchased several different traveling backpacks for myself & my son to see which we liked most. We ended up keeping 3 out of the 6 or 7 bags purchased. Out of the 3, I absolutely love this one the most for its functionality/purpose. Durability: I've used this one for separate trips to Orlando, Mexico, Panama, & Europe. My teenaged son used one of the other brands on each of the same trips. While my bag still looks new/no issues, one of his straps broke somewhere between Spain & London - and I'm the one who overpacked! Size/Airline Concerns: No issues at all on Frontier (gag), Spirit, Southwest, AA, or British Airways... and remember I mentioned I overpacked. Favorites: I love the space, but the padding is what really stood out to me. I'm 5'0 tall, in my 40s, and this bag was really comfy to carry throughout our travels. When we have suitcases, it's easy to slide on the handle... but I absolutely love the space designated to hold the travel charger & of course the USB port. I also like there's "just enough"pockets. My son's chosen bag annoyed him bc there were TOO MANY pockets and he was always rummaging through them all when he wanted to grab something. Dislikes: I do have a few minor dislikes... 1) I found I had to be really cognizant of how I packed the main space if I wanted to pull things out of the bag while in flight. I packed vertically (if that makes sense?) so I wouldn't have to lie the bag down & open it like a suitcase - I could just reach in & grab a pouch from the top. I would suggest a divider, but that would take away from the benefit of a large packing area.... so careful planning, it is. 2) I don't care for the cubes. I like the fact they're included, but I swapped them out for a better set. 3) I just not in love with it visually. It's so blah. I *wish* I could merge the design appeal of one of the other bags I purchased with the functionality of this one! Despite my small issues, I'm still rating the bag a 5. The functionality & dependability throughout all of flights/trains/layovers deserves a top rating. I'm actually about to purchase another one now in black (to replace my son's bag with the broken strap)! ## Features - LARGE CAPACITY & EXPANDABLE：This extra large travel backpack with expandable feature offers you more packing capacity up to 40L.Unzipping to get larger storage space then can easily hold packing cubes, make-up bag, outfits, camera bag and gear for 3~7 days of travel. The carry on backpack fits overhead and under seat while on state of standard carry on size, is ideal for men, women, weekend traveler, or occasional vacationer - EXTRA 4 PACKING CUBES:This weekend travel backpack comes with four packing cubes. large cube for sweaters, jackets, pants. It looks like a backpack and sits comfortably on my back, but opens/stores things like a suitcase. I bought it for a flight + 3 day trip and it was perfect for the amount of things I needed to bring. It fit comfortably under the airplane seat so I didn't need to check it or put it in the overhead. I really loved the expansion zipper and straps. I had the bag expanded while I was packing, then after I zipped the bag closed I was able to use the straps to compress everything so that I could close the expansion zipper. Since that initial trip 6 months ago I've frequently used it for 1-2 day overnight trips and I love the way it protects my laptop and has plenty of space for whatever I need. It comes with smaller bags inside of it -- the smallest one with the clear front is perfect for toiletries, and the others help organize multiple outfits or separate swimsuits etc. The multiple bags fit nicely alongside each other within the main compartment. When I bought it, I thought it was really cool that the straps can be tucked away so it can be carried like a suitcase. I've yet to do that though; it makes way more sense to carry it on my back than any other way. I wish that it had a water bottle compartment on both sides, and I wish that the one it has was deeper or had some sort of strap at the top to keep my water from falling out when the bag is on the ground or if I bend down. ## Frequently Bought Together - Carry on Travel Backpacks, Extra Large 40L Flight Approved Bag for Men & Women,Expandable Suitcase Backpack With 4 Packing Cubes,Water Resistant Luggage Daypack Business Weekender Bag,Black - 18pack Travel Bottles for Toiletries,TSA Approved Silicone Travel Containers jar for Toiletries,Leak Proof Refillable Liqus Shampoo And Conditioner Travel Essentials toiletry Bottles --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ma/products/472843575-lumesner-40l-expandable-travel-backpack-carry-on-backpack-flight-approved](https://www.desertcart.ma/products/472843575-lumesner-40l-expandable-travel-backpack-carry-on-backpack-flight-approved) --- *Product available on Desertcart Morocco* *Store origin: MA* *Last updated: 2026-10-15*
