Lumesner 40L Expandable Travel Backpack, Carry On Backpack Flight Approved

I am very happy with this backpack. I haven't used it yet on a trip, but can tell by the way it fits it will be fine. This is the 4th back pack I tried and all the previous ones I returned because they were uncomfortable, or not practical in some way . I am 5'2' and the shoulder straps and chest strap are adjustable to my small frame (and taller folks too) while other brands lacked the tightening abilities for a short person. It sits high on my shoulders so not necessary to bend forward to balance the weight. Good posture won't tire you out. Plenty of room inside, with lots of pockets and it's not black fabric inside, which always makes it harder to find stuff in there. Comes with extra packing bags to keep items separate, again easier to locate stuff. My only criticism is the fake plastic leather, bummer, makes it look cheap. I hope that part holds up for wear and tear. I would have been happier with real leather on those places, OR, to keep the price low, just used the same material all the rest of it is made from. But I'll live with it, I think I shall be quite pleased on long trips with it. I like the color too. Seems very well made, with heavy fabric, therefore durable. yet lightweight over all. 5 stars.

I went on a "bag buying frenzy" about 6 months ago and purchased several different traveling backpacks for myself & my son to see which we liked most. We ended up keeping 3 out of the 6 or 7 bags purchased. Out of the 3, I absolutely love this one the most for its functionality/purpose. Durability: I've used this one for separate trips to Orlando, Mexico, Panama, & Europe. My teenaged son used one of the other brands on each of the same trips. While my bag still looks new/no issues, one of his straps broke somewhere between Spain & London - and I'm the one who overpacked! Size/Airline Concerns: No issues at all on Frontier (gag), Spirit, Southwest, AA, or British Airways... and remember I mentioned I overpacked. Favorites: I love the space, but the padding is what really stood out to me. I'm 5'0 tall, in my 40s, and this bag was really comfy to carry throughout our travels. When we have suitcases, it's easy to slide on the handle... but I absolutely love the space designated to hold the travel charger & of course the USB port. I also like there's "just enough"pockets. My son's chosen bag annoyed him bc there were TOO MANY pockets and he was always rummaging through them all when he wanted to grab something. Dislikes: I do have a few minor dislikes... 1) I found I had to be really cognizant of how I packed the main space if I wanted to pull things out of the bag while in flight. I packed vertically (if that makes sense?) so I wouldn't have to lie the bag down & open it like a suitcase - I could just reach in & grab a pouch from the top. I would suggest a divider, but that would take away from the benefit of a large packing area.... so careful planning, it is. 2) I don't care for the cubes. I like the fact they're included, but I swapped them out for a better set. 3) I just not in love with it visually. It's so blah. I *wish* I could merge the design appeal of one of the other bags I purchased with the functionality of this one! Despite my small issues, I'm still rating the bag a 5. The functionality & dependability throughout all of flights/trains/layovers deserves a top rating. I'm actually about to purchase another one now in black (to replace my son's bag with the broken strap)!

LOVE this bag. It looks like a backpack and sits comfortably on my back, but opens/stores things like a suitcase. I bought it for a flight + 3 day trip and it was perfect for the amount of things I needed to bring. It fit comfortably under the airplane seat so I didn't need to check it or put it in the overhead. I really loved the expansion zipper and straps. I had the bag expanded while I was packing, then after I zipped the bag closed I was able to use the straps to compress everything so that I could close the expansion zipper. Since that initial trip 6 months ago I've frequently used it for 1-2 day overnight trips and I love the way it protects my laptop and has plenty of space for whatever I need. It comes with smaller bags inside of it -- the smallest one with the clear front is perfect for toiletries, and the others help organize multiple outfits or separate swimsuits etc. The multiple bags fit nicely alongside each other within the main compartment. When I bought it, I thought it was really cool that the straps can be tucked away so it can be carried like a suitcase. I've yet to do that though; it makes way more sense to carry it on my back than any other way. I wish that it had a water bottle compartment on both sides, and I wish that the one it has was deeper or had some sort of strap at the top to keep my water from falling out when the bag is on the ground or if I bend down.

This backpack holds a large amount of stuff. I like the TSA approved feature and the lockable zipper. I like the extra storage pocket on the back where the straps come out of. It fits an iPad or small tablet perfectly and you don't even notice that it is there because it is tucked into the natural curvature of the back. The small document storage pocket in the waist line fits a bifold wallet opened up and a passport book with room to spare with the benefit of them being secured against your body. It would be nice if there were a couple more smaller pockets on the outside down the sides and if the smaller personal item storage was on the inside so it didn't cause the bag to bulge as much when you have a lap top stowed. I would give 5 stars but one of my straps started to rip while we were traveling. It's not bad and does not affect the functionality but it was disappointing.

**3 Year Update 2026** This bag has now experienced 27 countries, a 3 week wilderness backpacking trip, 24 US states, and routine use in between. It is STILL going strong- like really strong. I can really pack this bag out and have had no issues with its size as a carry-on domestically (US) or internationally including the smaller airlines in Europe and Southeast Asia. To this day, I still have no regrets.** **Original Review Purchased 2023** I was unsure if I really wanted to get a non-name brand backpack. I had limited time before traveling to Egypt, Jordan, and Dubai. I took the chance and I am beyond pleased I did. This bag was basically a second carry-on but in backpack form so no one batted an eye and it spared me from having to check a luggage. I packed this bad boy to the brim, heavily testing the integrity of all the seams/zippers and it took it like a champ. It even fit under the airplane seat in a pinch. I made this bag work HARD. It survived some SERIOUS off road adventures in Egypt and Jordan too. It held up beautifully. It came with the packing cubes which made it a breeze when international airport security wanted to go through my bag. The front compartment has what feels like waterproof lining and worked great storing my flying slippers and then for my wet bathing suit after the Red Sea & Dead Sea. I love the retractable backpack straps and I was able to fit my 2L Camelback bladder in there when I hiked 10km in Petra. There’s another little zipper compartment that sits flush to your back which I stashed my extra cash and copies of important documents. Peace of mind. The design was done with care and thought. I am so glad I snagged this bag and it has made smaller local weekend trips a breeze. If you are on the fence like I was, do it. Buy it. It came in clutch. No regrets.

This bag is my go to for every trip if it’s a weekend getaway or a full blown 8 day vacation. Lots of space and is expandable and easy to use for a carry-on for any flight. The colors were just as pictured and I love the waterproof pockets. It has so many pockets to carry things from my laptop to my water cup. It doesn’t hold odors from my trip to Puerto Rico and storing wet clothes for the plane home.

Love this bag. Excellent quality, lots of pockets, includes charger and lock. Looks nice and padded straps. Buy it, you will love it.

This is to replace a backpack I've had for years - nothing wrong with it but my husband wanted me to be able to pull it to get the load off my back. I wasn't really interested in a new one, so I was particularly critical of backpacks I was considering. First off, it had to be able to fit under an airplane seat as I already have a full-sized rollaboard that only fits in the overhead; this bag is the same size as the one I'm replacing so no issue there. Second, it had to have a way to cover the wheels so as not to mess up what I'm wearing when I use it in the "backpack" mode - this bag does that beautifully. The flap that hides the carry-straps folds down and completely covers the wheels, velcroing in place. It appears well-made - time and use will tell, of course. There is a separate spot for my iPad and another for my laptop that has a bit of padding. Several zippered pockets for pends, cords, glasses and what-not. Lots of room in the main compartment. The pull handle is stored in the down position with a zippered top, nice little extra feature. All in all I am very pleased with this bag and, after seeing mine, my husband ordered himself one in the black colour. Both bags look exactly like the pictures in the description. The included packing cubes and shoe/damp swimsuit bag are also a nice feature.

Pour débuter, excellent service avec le vendeur. Ma répondu rapidement. Le sac est arriver plus tôt que la date annoncer. La materiel semble solide. Il viens abec les 3 pochettes de rangement + le sac a chaussures et même un cadenas pour verouiller le sac. Je ne l'ai pas encore rempli totalement. Je vous reviendrai avec sa capacité de vêtement à transporter. Pour l'instant je recommande fortement!

Bought this item before for travelling abroad and decided to buy a new one for every day use. The pockets and sections on the bag are a fair size and can hold a full size laptop and other items safely. From a design point of view the bag looks fine and doesn’t stand out, which for me is a plus. The price I paid was fair for what I got so I do consider it value for money as the bag is well made and I expect I’ll be using it for years to come.
