Very delicious - almost like molasses but not as strong tasting - it's great on toast or in coffee/tea. We are trying out several non-sugar substitutes ...this is a good choice for some foods. Kids might like it on waffles - it has good nutritional value too - which makes using it as a sweetener even better. It is a bit pricey; but we don't use it for cooking just as a sub for perhaps honey...because you all know that honey isn't necessarily 'healthy'

I was looking for a sugar substitute that could help with blood sugar management.When cooking, molasses had a strong flavor that was a bit difficult to use, but date syrup doesn’t have a bitter taste, making it great for preparing slightly spicy Asian dishes. I also think it would taste good mixed with water or milk. I can see myself using it often!
