Fun
Cool kit, great value for what you're getting. I wish it had a joystick, but hey with everything you're getting, especially in this economy I understand how that's too much to ask for. overall great kit, I haven't had an issue with it yet. Just be sure to push the USB all the way in on the arduino board if it won't connect to your pc, and download the driver for the chip (it's on the box "ch430" or something like that.

Incredible option for the price!
I am just getting into the microcomputer world, and this was a great deal to dip my toes in.I did pick up a brand-name version of this at Micro Center the other day, and you can certainly see the overall difference in quality between the two - this one looks and feels cheap, but so far it functions just about the same for the simple projects I've been doing.I had some difficulty getting the code from IDE to this device, but some online searching pointed me to a driver that needed to be installed for it to be compatible. After that was installed, I was able to upload a code without issue.A card in the box does point you to a DropBox (I believe) file that has some codes and stuff to look at, and if I recall correctly, downloading the "driver" from that file did not work. Just gave me an error message during install. Going directly to the website for the device pointed me toward the correct driver.

It contains what it says it will.
It didn't come with any documentation just links to a website. The resistors aren't labeled. Everything seems to work fine though. You can spend 30 minutes getting an LED light to blink or to make a button turn on an LED. It's very basic. Truly a starter kit.
