USB Charger Cord Replacement for Alexa Echo Dot 3rd Gen, Dot 5th Generation, Dot 4th Gen Charger,(NOT for Echo 4th Gen) - 5V to 12V Set Up Charging Cable 3 FT

Bought this for my Amazon Echo Pop so I could take it on trips with me. Works great just wont when I try to power Echo Pop with a power bank charger which is kinda disappointing

Does what it says, usb plug is a little on the long side, but not enough to really be an issue, just something to keep in mind if your power source is in a tight location.

This power cord worked fine and I threw out my original cable... Until recently when I tried to have my Echo Dot play music (i havent done this since changing the cable) and suddently I hear a pop and it reboots itself. Every time I try to have it play music it does this. I later find out that its because the original power supply is about 20w. This cable is meant for a usb connector which is rarely ever 20w unless you're using a high end fast charger, so you can't use it with any real usb application. You need to have it plugged into the wall with a high end adapter. This listing doesnt mention at all that you need to use a 20w adapter with it. Its completely pointless to use this over the original adapter.

Doesn’t work for my echo dot 4th gen.

This products works if you are using it for asking question or smart home routines. But if you were to play music on the device. The Power Supply will cut off and restart the device within 3-5 minutes. 3 Stars because it does work for basic routines. I had the Echo Dot 3rd Gen.

I bought this product to help me place my Amazon Echo Dot Kids version in a place where is can hear me, not be fought over by the children, and is out of reach of an outlet. This product works very well to power Ziggy the Owl from anywhere I need it powered. It also can charge a battery base and will fit in the hole for the optional nest base for the Owl. I am very pleased with this purchase

I bought it so that I could extend the battery life for my echo dot. The current generation of echo is being sold with an optional battery stand. The battery stand is good because it allows for 2 hours of continuous music. A little bit more than 8 hours if it's idle. I have it on a power strip so I shut off the power strip for my computer, And it shuts off the power supply for the echo. This cable allows me to hook it up to a power bank and get some extended use.
