We're sorry to hear you're having difficulties with the 12oz pump. We recommend tightening the base of the pump first, turning clockwise to tighten it. Then with one hand holding on to the base, use your other hand to spin the nozzle counter-clockwise to pop up, this should do the trick! If not, try removing the pump completely and retightening again before spinning the nozzle.
