Timer review
I bought 1st a different timer and later 3 of these. The blue one is working fine a few weeks into service. I use this timer to drip irrigate from a tub onto an individual tree until it can get established. My mountain soil is so poor it passes water through fast and wont retain moisture. This timer doesn't require water pressure- it just opens and shuts. Adjustable down to once per hour and as little as one minute. I get three days of watering repeatedly through out the days. You do have to watch them and make adjustments. That 1st one, a green different brand, is giving me trouble. These blue ones, once dialed in, are working with out any issues. Uses two AAA batteries. There is no clock to set. Time starts upon setting- three blinks to say ok and occasional blinks regularly timed to indicate 'all's well'. Good price and quick shipping. I'm pleased with them. Look at my photo to see the setup. A tub with flat sides, a bulk head fitting or a drain fitting for a swamp cooler-same thing, sprinkler fittings and away you go. I have on the very end a round drip fitting with a 1/16" hole in it to slow watering down even more but you don't need that. Literally 1 minute once per 2 or 4 hours will suffice. Try it out for newly planted trees or shrubs. I had an orange tree and watered by hand every day but it just stayed alive and got smaller. With this setup I have, now it's put on new growth, looks like it will make it now.

Worked for a short period, then not
I bought and installed this last summer as I was going on an extended trip and needed my plants watered. It worked fine while I was away for two weeks - at least, the plants looked as if they'd been watered. I have no idea how many days it actually functioned, but whatever it had done was enough. When I returned from my trip I took it off the hose, took the batteries out, and packed it away in a temperature-controlled storage unit for the rest of the year. I have just taken it out of storage with plans to re-install it on my drip system only to find it no longer functions. I have used three different sets of batteries, but the unit simply does not power on. It appears that the wires are still connected to the battery posts (my first thought was that a wire had come loose). It's a shame, really, as I only was able to use it for two weeks. It definitely did what I needed for it to do for those two weeks. I would ask the vendor for a replacement, but doubt they'd provide one after this long of a time. EDIT: Excellent customer service. The vendor responded to my review and sent a replacement unit. It's been raining cats-and-dogs here since it arrived so I have not been able to see if this one is working, but will place it in the garden at my earliest convenience (and inside a plastic bag to hopefully help keep it dry). I will report how well it works sometime thereafter. But for now, this vendor provides excellent customer service - some of the best I've come across on Amazon.

UPDATED: Didn’t last 6 months
After posting the below review, the manufacturer reached out to me and offered a full refund. I asked if I could get a replacement instead, and they sent one out right away. Within two days I had a new timer and am once again really happy with how it’s working for me. 5+ stars for customer service, and the timer really is a nice one. I originally really loved this timer, it worked great and did exactly what I needed it to. However, after 5 months it stopped working. I was hoping it just needed new batteries, but it was completely dead. There is no warranty information anywhere on either amazons site or the manufacturers site. So it appears I’m stuck with trying to find a timer that will hopefully last at least long enough for the batteries to run down.

Easy to use
Looks easy to clean, cheap construction but half the price of other models. I bought several for multiple timers on gravity fed systems. a lot easier to change out at this price than $60 of others. look forward to utilizing it. Easy to use dial timers to set interval and frequency.

Perfect for my rain barrel.
Easy directions. Perfect for my rain barrel that has no water pressure. Worked through the whole garden season with zero issue.

Worked well for 2 months …(with update)
This timer worked really well for my low pressure rain catchment drip irrigation system for my greenhouse … for a little over 2 months. Then, one day, my 300 gallon water storage tank was mysteriously empty despite having ample rain to recharge the storage tank in the preceding days. The timer ball valve stayed in the open position & allowed all the water to drain away into my greenhouse instead of operating at my programmed setting. I tried several brand new sets of batteries, & it is simply no longer working. I’m very disappointed at the short lifespan of the timer (don’t see any warranty info that might help me either) & the fact that it allowed my precious rainwater to drain away & overwater my greenhouse plants! :( UPDATE: After writing this review, the company immediately reached out and offered me a full refund. I still would rather the timer continued to work, but A+ for customer service & standing behind their product! I may take a chance on a replacement unit…

Great for situations without water pressure
Most timers require water pressure on the inlet side to work properly. This timer works where there is no pressure available like from a rain barrel. I installed this to a rain barrel to water our small garden while off the grid. You can set the time water flows and also can set how many hours between waterings. It operates on a single AA battery and is easy to use. I highly recommend it. I have been using it for about 6 months and the battery is still good.

Engineering defect in collar. Faucet collar splits.
Purchased 3 of these in May for greenhouse irrigation, but all three collars for the faucet connection have split in half resulting in water to spray from connection point. Seller/Manufacturer does not have contact information to get replacements. Will have to try to epoxy the part back together as besides the failing collar and lack of support the rest of the unit worked well before it broke.
