The Case Of The Nervous Accomplice: A Perry Mason Mystery

Gardner is an excellent plotter, and the solutions to the mysteries are almost always a surprise. Mason and his secretary, Della Street, are obviously in love, but this situation remains unresolved throughout the series. (After all, what is the author going to do for romantic tension if the characters just get married.) Most of the series is set in the 1930's-40's.

Like most of the books in the Perry Mason series, it starts off slow but picks up the pace after about 4 chapters. After that you can’t put it down !

I can't review ESG anymore. All of them are from good to better.There is no bad one. He is a master of crime. Hats off!

A classic from a favorite author

The mystery presents all of the usual problems and how to solve them. In fact the TV show version is what was written, with the usual minor changes of the shooting script.

Another terrific Perry Mason story, full of turns and twists.

Love Erle Stanley Gardner's writing style - intricate, entertaining, and the good guy always comes out winning. mayhem, with a happy ending.

Another gripping earthy Perry Mason story. All works out well in the end and Perry & Co come out of it all smelling of roses!

A very interesting case. This case was enjoyable also for the competent way the prosecution laid down its side. Usually, it is a one-sided affair with Mason being the amicable, sauve, polished lawyer, out to show the truth and nothing but that, with Burger over reacting and throwing his weight at everybody. Here, Burger is given a much better and believable stand.Another good thing is the case itself. Plus the bonus of a complete court procedure from prelimenary to the final jury trial.
